The beer pours a creamy white head. The beer itself is a slightly hazy and golden amber color.
The beer has strong citrus and hop notes. The hops come out grapefruit but there also floral notes that come out but is easily overwhelmed by the other notes.
The beer has a bitter and sour taste. The bitterness comes from the hops and the sour flavor builds a little but mixes well with the hops. Underneath all of this is a little bit of sweetness from the malts but those are overwhelmed.
The beer itself has a slightly biting carbonation and medium-bodied. Surprising given the abv content.
A pretty good beer and a very nice APA. Definitely worth picking up if you happen to be in the Boston area.

Poured out of a Growler bought a half hour beforehand. Poured into a regular pint glass.
A - Light pale with a strawberry blonde tinge. Really good retention even out of the growler. Leaves nice off-white lacing.
S - Fresh hops but with a noticeable flowery aroma that smells like a rye malt. I wish I new more about what was in this beer it isn't as simple as most APA's. I can smell the floweriness (yes, that's a word) every time I reach for a sip without the smell becoming muted.
T - Not overly pungent with really tasty hops. This is a great summertime beer. A lasting sour bitterness builds up in the back of your tongue the more you drink it. The flower scent doesn't come through as strongly in the taste. Light toasty taste goes well with the slight bitterness.
M - Not watery even for a 5% pale ale. Not as lathery as the head and lacing would suggest.
O - Great display of American hops. Satisfying but not overbearing. This is my 7th or 8th Trillium brews and it is one of my favorites.
