Every time this beer is served to me I get startled, it is the most yellow-colored Pale Ale I have ever seen, youd swear it was a Pilsner or something. The off-white head is rarely formed fully; it is usually soapy patches of bubbles a drift on a sea of beer. The ensuing lacing is admirable. While the appearance fails to mention the style the bouquet gladly speaks ups with note after note of sensible citrusy-hops; there is a sense of toasty, caramel malts at the back. The aromas are inviting and similar to Boulevard Pale Ale. The hops set the tone for the palate as well with just enough toasty, caramel malt for a well-balanced beverage. Moderately dry finish. Frankly, this APA isnt aggressively hoppy, nor is it intended too I believe, but it is tremendously satisfying, very likeable and something Id drink all-night long. Weakly medium in body with smallish carbonation that produces a smooth and kind of creamy but pleasant mouthfeel. The aftertaste is hoppy enough to remind you to drink it again. Of the core line-up of Gottberg beers, Id say this one is the best.

The first thing noticed is the awesom smell of hopps. A clear dark gold color with a slight ring of lacy foam left around the edges of the pint glass.
A nice balance of maltyness and hoppyness with a good mouth feel.
my favorite out of the six i sampled.
