IPA or Double IPA? At 8.3% ABV, that line is blurred. On-tap at the source, on to the beer:

The color looks a somewhat muddy brown with a tint of orange color. The head retention is okay, while the lacing it gives is at a good level. Hops indeed, a full nose of it. It has a strong tropical hoppy smell with a baseline of toffee crisp which cuts the hops from being too intense. Regarding flavor, it hits with pineapple and grapefruit. At the base is just a little sweet malt. The hops appear to add an herbal note to it. Some passionfruit and melon notes round out this hoppy beer. The beer is nearly full bodied, being relatively smooth with its alcohol level hidden well.

Is Jericho too much in one sitting? Muzzleloader may be an answer to that, however I'm not suggesting that you could drink 4 or 5 imperial pints in one sitting and stay sober.
