Brown in color with a slightly reddish tinge. A small showing of off white small tightly knit carbonation bubbles on top and a good steady show of them within the body. The aroma is mainly of whiskey, but I also get a lot of dark barley. The taste is deep with rich whiskey flavor, caramel, and oak. There's a lack of complexity for such a big brew. The fade is strongly that of whiskey, but fades quickly. You get a dryness and a warmth from the alcohol after the finish. I was hoping for more especially at that price.

Pours a hazy, brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of liquor, alcohol, sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, slight hop, and slight rye. Fits the style of an American Barleywine. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of liquor, roasted malt, sweet malt, hops, hint of rye, and slight alcohol. Overall, good aroma, feel, body, and blend.

750ml Bottle. Aromas of whiskey, vanilla. Poured a beautiful copper color with a thick white head that lingered. Complex flavors, rich malt, pepper, vanilla, caramel, wood. Lingering finish. Far and away the best this brewery has to offer. Great job.
