It should be noted: This beer is actually an American Pale Ale, as indicated in a previous review, and as told to me by the brewmaster himself.

Great citrus tones, Hints of lemon on the nose. Higher carbonation, but not overwhelmingly so. very good example of the APA style, and pares well with spicy or Asian food.

Oast house barn shaker country ale
Poured a clear light gold, nice white lacing and film. Smell is lightly yeasty and barnyardy, pale malt and lemon. Taste has maybe a light carbonation for a saison, with lemon and white grape notes, some pepperiness, a bit of yeasty upfront notes. Overall there are also some hay notes, some late bitterness, didn't really blow me away as a saison, solid all rounder, flavours are there but quite muted. Body itself was quenching and tasty, dry finish which was good, slight carb. A tasty saison that did the trick but in terms of complexity and sessionaility really wasn't a standout. Thick drying yeast on the finish. Not great balance on the palate, smell had promise.

22 ounce pour

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head that dissipates to a lacing.

Smells of grassy malts with some hemp and rye type aromas.

Citrus and grassy malt with piney hops that tend again towards a hemp flavor.

Full body with a stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

Solid ale with an interesting and unique flavor and aroma, worth trying for sure and pretty good.

Bottled on Oct 16/13 and consumed on Nov 2/13.
Poured in to tulip.

A -Translucent orange/yellow colour with one finger of cream coloured head.

S - A fresh English hop presence with big floral notes and some musky/dank notes as well. Very light citrus aroma in the background along with a touch of sweet caramel.

T - Moderate bitterness for the style with a substantial caramel malt sweetness balancing out the hop profile. Floral and herbal hop notes stand out.

M - Medium body. Creamy with some stickiness. Moderate carbonation.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy golden color with a finger of foam. Really nice hop forward aromas..citrusy and juicy. Flavor of some slight bready malts with a lot of citrus hop. More of an IPA or at least an American Pale Ale...not quite an English Pale...but really good nonetheless. Its actually more hop forward than their Belgian IPA...

On tap at The Rhino. Medium cloudy yellow with retained foam and lacey. smooth mouthfeel, lightly honeyish and very malted. Some citra hop aroma, yet the flavour is very mildly hoppy, like a British pale ale, or faded hops according to some. Transition beer.
