On tap at Oggi's Pizza and Brewing Company in Santa Clarita, CA.
Pours a clear brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt and some slight caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with a slight bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the smell is pretty mild.

Poured from a draft into a pint glass at Oggi’s in Santee, Calif. About a finger of head. Color was brownish red. Hardly any white lacing on the top. Minimal film on the sides.
Smelled dark chocolate and coffee malts mainly. Also caramel, toffee and some toasty notes.
Tasted fairly close to the nose. Got coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee and toast. Also tasted a little rum, maybe Captain Morgan’s.
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Smooth finish but still got that Captain Morgan taste.
An OK beer overall. Pretty much what I expected. I’d probably try it again.

On tap at Oggi's Carmel Mountain.
A: Dark crimson with a frothy beige head. Good retention, and residual web-like lacing is left behind.
S: Bread and caramelized notes with a little peat and earth. Malt is rich and dominant.
T: Rich caramel melds with baked bread and toffee. There's a low bitterness accompanying earth and light smoke notes.
M: Upper medium body with a creamy moderate carbonation.
Overall: A pretty good Scottish Ale. Definitely the best beer I've has from Oggi's today thus far.

On tap at Oggi's Garden Grove.
Poured a dark brown hue but it had some burgundy highlights to it. Almost no head at all. Very little carbonation.
Smell is bready and yeasty. A little toast is there as well.
Taste is slightly smokey and got some bready malt. That's about it. Not a lot goin on.
Mouthfeel is too thin and its almost flat. Hard to finish just because its not that good.

On-tap at Oggi's Tustin
A: The beer pours an amber color with a small off-white/khaki colored head.
S: Amazingly, the expected aromas of toffee, toast, and bread are there with a moderate caramel sweetness to it. Minimal hop aroma and a hint of stone fruits.
T: Pleasant flavors of toffee and toasted bread are most of what you're going to get here. Some caramel sweetness to the beer with a hint of earthy hops and a mild spice flavor.
M: Medium in body with a moderate carbonation.
O: An Oggi's beer that isn't horribly offensive? Sign me up.

P: 22oz brown bottle. no best by date. Back of bottle says: Gold award winner, 2008 world beer cup.
A: No head. Dark red in color. no lacing.
S: Toffee smell, roasted malt.
T: First of it is really light. almost like water. very weak. some malt flavors, but very little. a flat taste for a finish. it taste like unfinished beer.
M: Light body. and no carbonation.
D: will never buy again. its not a good beer. its almost like they started it, and for got to condition and carbonate it... i would pour it down the drain. but i have no other beer... maybe i got a bad beer?
