Industrial vibe going on, working brewery feel in a strip mall setting. Food truck outside. 8 taps, about half which seem to rotate. IPAs seem to be their strength. Bar staff on top of their game (10/12/2016)

This brewery is my most favorite in Colorado. They only brew what they like and it is all excellent. No TV's in the entire place which is Awesome. The staff, brewers and owners are all great people and always willing to talk. Great food trucks all the time. In my humble opinion you will love this place if you like beer. Get over to Golden!

Stop #524 on my world brewery tour.
Made a quick visit after a bike ride in Golden and visit to New Terrain (which opened earlier in the day). Visit was a result of a Denver beer guide article in Craft Beer & Brewing which recommended project alpha beers, Mindbender and I think Trump Hands IPA (which won a GABF medal for session IPA). I got a crowler of Mindbender and Trump Hands. Had a couple other samples and was able to chat with one of the brewers. At the end of a strip mall and you can look straight up west in the hills for a neat view (for those from flatter lands).

Highly recommended place out in Golden.
Vibe is nothing special, it's in a strip mall just north of downtown. Decent outdoor space, and fairly open on the inside. It's been lively, but not overly crowded the couple times I have visited.
Quality is top notch. These guys are one of the top hoppy brewers in the state in my opinion, and other non hoppy offerings have been solid as well. Selection has been good the times I've visited as well, usually about a dozen beers on tap with good variety.
Service has been pretty standard. I've had pleasant conversations with some employees, while others are just seem like they are there to pour beer.
Well worth a trip out to Golden.

This is a great addition to this part of Golden. It's in a strip mall, but occupies a big corner facing the street so it's easy to see. Big patio (though facing the parking lot isn't ideal), lots of seating, and food trucks on site regularly. Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. They had about ten beers on tap, with a wide range of styles available. They've already won a few GABF medals and there might be more on the way if they keep up the good work.

Cool, very open place, surrounded in glass with a roll up service door that opened up to a beautiful, sunny November day. Their IPA's remind me of Half Acre in Chicago, which speaks for itself. Great service. Great place.

V-Cannonball is located in a strip mall a few minutes north of old Downtown Golden. The space is pretty big and a large bar is at the center. Brewing equipment sits off the side of the bar. The decor inside is kinda industrial; as industrial as you get in a new strip mall in the suburbs, anyway. It feels a bit like a brewpub, but only food truck food is available. A medium sized patio looks at the 7-11 next door. It was crowded when I visited on a hot summer afternoon. A few mountain bro-type groups with tank tops and board shorts; a family or two; and some older couples hanging out playing cards. Nice selection of punk rock on the stereo.
Q-I tried two IPAs and a pale ale. All of the me were tasty and great for summertime drinking. Well-made beers.
Ser-The bartenders were prompt and knowledgeable about Cannonball's offerings. Glassware was style appropriate and my beers arrived with a good amount of head.
Sel-There were 8 beers on tap when I visited. Most of them were in the 6-7.5% ABV range and most were seasonally appropriate. A few heavier offerings were available if you wanted a summertime stout or porter.
O-Cannonball isn't going to charm the pants off anyone, but the beers are good and vibe is appropriate for the location. All in all, a nice spot.

Great place with great beer. The location has plenty of windows for the CO sun and a patio. Food trucks daily and posted schedule on their Facebook page. Good for children and out of towners. The owners are generally present for impromptu tours or brewer questions. Definitely a must when in the area.

There are some extremely talented brewers here. They may flex their creative muscles too much, so you may never know what you are getting. There was a very uptight vibe from the clientele and i was unable to relax properly. Drink with your pinkey out here.

finally made it here when they were open, i think i was 0 for 3 or something before that, so maybe they have expanded hours. it used to be tough getting in here. i was sort of surprised they had so few beers on, just six or seven, for having so many tap handles and so many fermenters. they must be staying really busy and blowing through a lot of beer. good for them! the space is large, lots of patio space with the inside quite open, no real line between where the taproom stops and the brewery starts. i like that feel, very inviting with a wrap around bar and plenty of thirsty patrons at opening bell on a monday afternoon. the beers i had were of excellent quality, but aside from the rosemary sourdough saison, they werent overly creative. i have heard such good things about this place, that i was a little disappointed in the draft lineup, but everything i tasted was very good. service was a little drab, unenthusiastic, i know its monday afternoon and you probably had a big weekend, but you can only make a first impression once. it warmed up after a beer, but it was a little off putting to start. overall a fun place in a location that should serve them well moving forward. i will be back for certain.

The beer is excellent - had 5 oz tasters of the Belgian, Featherweight, Mindbender & Brickyard Porter. All were very good - especially the Porter. Then settled in for a couple of full pours of the Not Mindbender Imperial IPA, One of the best I've had in Colorado.
The brewery has a great bar and lots of seating area. Best I've seen around here. Servers were great.
Can't wait to go back!
