Tasty IPA. Looks great. Hazy orange/light copper color with a huge slightly off-white head. Excellent retention and thick lacing.
Smell is balanced. Some citrus hops (orange/tangerine) and some slightly sweet bready malt.
Taste is similar. Bitter enough, main flavor is citrus hops with some balancing maltiness, slightly sweet. Very tasty, no hint of alcohol.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Enough bitterness sto satisfy and some maltiness as a counterbalance. Very smooth and easy to drink.
Good, solid IPA. A bit too high octane for anything close to a session but great with food and a good easy sipper.

A - quite cloudy, burnt orange, gentile 1 inch head with scattered lacing
S - Pronounced earthy / pine, Some sugar and light fruits
T - Smooth malts with a twist of tangerine. Peppery bitter finish and lingering spices.
M - Smooth, creamy.
O - This brew eases across flavors from start to finish. Nothing crisp, nothing abrupt. Pleasantly smooth and creamy. I find these flavors quite complex and working in perfect harmony. A favorite american style IPA from a brewer of well crafted brews.

Acquired via trade, there was no apparent date on the bottle. I am not that much of a snob that the lack of a date would keep me from enjoying the beer.
Appearance: Poured from the bottle, the beer was a light copper color with a bright white head.
Smell - The aroma was a pleasant combo of citrus and pine. The aroma did not give a great impression of bitterness.
Taste - The initial taste impression was a soft grapefruit note with hints of peach skin and slight grassiness. The malt backbone is just strong enough to make the hops come to the front. The bitter citrus lingers on the roof of the mouth.
Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel seems somewhat thick for an IPA. It almost feels like a DIPA. The taste lingers nicely in the mouth, which is a good thing.
Overall - This is a solid IPA from a smaller brewery.

Love this beer! Very similar to west coast IPA's, with a sense of cascade hops. Much needed brew for this town! Very drinkable for 7.2% and has a clean finish. The appearance is a nice sticky head that has a piney aroma. I recommend this beer for anybody that likes IPA's.
