Love this beer! Very similar to west coast IPA's, with a sense of cascade hops. Much needed brew for this town! Very drinkable for 7.2% and has a clean finish. The appearance is a nice sticky head that has a piney aroma. I recommend this beer for anybody that likes IPA's.

A clear golden orange to light amber in color with a 2 1/2 inch chunky head leaving thick, sticky lacing.
Fruity with a huge caramel to butterscotch aspect and a spicy followup. Ripe citrus. Swirling the beer in the glass results in the aroma of warmed milk.
Sweet malts with caramelly milk chocolate well complemented by bitter hops and a hint of alcohol.
Smpoth and creamy. Medium thick and chewy. A light prickle on the tongue and somewhat warming.
Seems a bit thicker than most IPAs, but it has great aroma and flavor. Well balanced, and there's more than enough going on here to keep me interested. The residual flavor just goes on and on.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale orange color with some clarity and slow moving bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank too.
Smell: Grapefruit, tangerine, caramel, and bready malts.
Taste: Pretty much along the same lines as the aroma with some lingering bitterness. Could be a bit cleaner.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, a bit chewy, medium bodied, medium bodied, and quite enjoyably easy to drink.
Overall: Solid VA IPA I was able to find at a bottle store in Harrisonburg. I would like to try this out on draft next time though the 81 area.
