Bottle shared by Curran, thanks man!

Pours a dark inky black, with a one inch head, and soapy lacing down the side.

Smells typically milk-stouty, with vanilla cream, lactose, chocolate, and a small amount of roasted malt.

Luckily, the roasted malt is stronger in the taste- good, because I love the flavor. There's a creamy almost chocolate milk flavor, with whipped cream as well. Only slightly bitter from the roast, mostly quite sweet, without being over the top.

This one has a medium size body, with a medium amount of carbonation, and a really nicely creamy mouthfeel. Very drinkable.

Nothing trailblazing for the style, but still just really drinkable and tasty.

22 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Grabbed the last bottle of this stuff from the local beer store; a new offering to me from the local Flesk Brewing Company, out of Lombard, Illinois. Expectations are decent; I've enjoyed what these guys have put out so far.

Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - Pours a dark chocolate brown colored body; opaque in the glass with four big billowy fingers of scraggly fluffy tan head. Leaves behind fat root beer float like lacing. A very nice looking beer. 4.5

S - The aroma is comprised of milk chocolate, cream, lactose, vanilla, and a somewhat dominant earthy yeast presence. Not what I would call roasty, and maybe not quite what some people would expect from a milk stout aroma, but I find it very pleasant indeed. 4

T - The taste amps up the roastiness quite a bit - lots of bitter roasty coffee beans, chocolate, vanilla, lactose, cream. Again, a bit of distinct prevalent earthy yeast presence, but it fits in nicely with the build of the beer. Very well harmonized. 4

M - The feel is medium-full bodied, with adequate carbonation, somewhat thick and sugary. Goes down smooth and easy for the moderate 7.00% abv. 4

Overall, an impressive, if somewhat standard example of a nice milk stout from Flesk Brewing. Nothing extraordinarily groundbreaking or inventive, but a solid example of the style.

12oz bottle, no apparent freshness date
A - black body with a frothy tan head that holds excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass as it fades
S - roasted barley, dark chocolate, cream
T - nice sweetness paired with roasty and chocolaty notes; cream, earthy hops in there as well
M - medium body, smooth, creamy, ample carbonation
O - really nice, straight-forward milk stout here. No complaints from me.
