I was finally able to stop by during my latest visit to Jacksonville. It was close to my hotel, so it worked out great.

I like this space. According to the friendly bar tender, it has gone through numerous incarnations starting out as an ice house (notice the tongs behind the bar), a tile warehouse, etc. There are three rooms, the main bar, an indoor German styled room with picnic tables and then a room with couches and stuff for private parties.

They had a good post work crowd. I think lots of folks were going to the Jacksonville Jags game that night like we were.

They offered 8 or 9 house beers and about the same amount of guest taps. They had a pretty impressive range of styles. I liked everything I had.

I wish they offered food, but food trucks usually show-up. They offer full size and half growlers.

I can really recommend a stop at this friendly gem!

I really liked this place. Went there on a Saturday night and had a good mix of folks, great service and a lot of options (not just in the beer dept, but also in seating areas). Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Really great place to bring people to impress them. Might be a bit fancy looking, but the prices are great, and the beer is even better.

Went there on a Friday night, the place was really busy but still very easy to order beer. They had a TON of different beers to try including guest taps. Very nice modernized brewery, also very clean. Didn't really get a chance to talk with any of the staff but I still had a great time and enjoyed a few beers with good people. The prices were really good as well.

Aardwolf is one of the best up and coming breweries in Jacksonville FL. They brew a wide range of beer styles wich offers great variety to choose from. Their taproom is huge with a long bar and separate spaces for lounging or hosting a business meeting or party. They usually have some of the best food trucks outside their brewery as well and they also don't care if you want to order food in and eat it in the tap room. They just put their first BA beers they are going to release into the barrels and also are about to start their sour program. Although they brew a lot of styles they are all really solid. If your ever in Jacksonville, FL then you definitely need to swing in and check them out.

One of my favorite breweries in Florida. No nonsense, people are helpful, they have a very big lineup, there are guest taps, everyone is cool and having a good time. Also, the variety is vast. Lots of styles being made and served, and lots of them are very good beers.

I didn't come out with a favorite beer, but definitively a great brewery.

Original review: I'm going to begin with the fact that I love this place. The beers are fantastic and they have one of the most gorgeous taprooms I have ever seen. The staff is great, usually (follow up below). Plenty of brews on tap, usually 12-13 house beers and a few guest taps. Flights are offered for $8 and pints are $5-6, so nothing out of the ordinary.

3/1/15 edit: Now, here is my complaint, and I'm assuming someone from the brewery will see this and respond, or at least take notice. Today was the release of their barrel aged Early Bird Special, which is a fantastic beer, barrel aged or regular. Anyways, so, get to the brewery about 75 minutes before this is about to go down, and there is a massive blob of people doing a bottle share, which is cool. However, there was ZERO organization for this event. I have been to other beer releases at CCB (Hunaphu 2014, never forget), and Westbrook (4th Anniversary party), and this was by far the worst. No clear distinction where the back of the line was, and the one employee, we'll call him Hipster God, didn't give a flying FUCK, about anyone's problem. And I quote, "the line forms organically." No motherfucker, the line is yours and your breweries problem, so that you have a smooth bottle release and don't have people fighting each other to get your coveted beer that you only brewed 400 bottles of. I'm fairly certain people who had been waiting for awhile got skipped in line because of the clear lack of organization by Hipster God and his associates. I know Aardwolf plans to do another of these, so maybe next time someone will plan ahead instead of letting the crowd of people, who had been drinking, form the line "organically." I hope Aardwolf learns the value of prior proper planning, and the next bottle release isn't such a mess. I'm looking forward to it.
