What I had: Flight of Aardwolf Merry X-Mas, Ya Filthy Animal Olde Ale, Nonchalant IPA, The Waiting Dark Saison, and Eastbound & Brown India Brown Ale for myself, and a flight of Farm to Table Saison, Pilot Batch Belgian Single, Red Lightning, and Swamp Head Saison du Swamp for my partner.
What I liked: Massive taproom, lots of schwag available, huge and clearly visible draught list, friendly staff, most of the beers were excellent quality, they brew an impressive range of styles and seem to be pushing the envelope in Jacksonville, free parking, place was packed by 4pm on a Saturday.
What I disliked: While their beers are very good, and fairly innovative, I wouldn’t put Aardwolf in the top tier of American microbreweries (i.e. Three Floyds, Russian River, Founders, Cigar City, etc). But these are still early days and they may yet become one of the leaders in U.S. craft brewing. Certainly a brewery to watch in the coming years.
Would I go back? Yes.

Aardwolf is a very roomy brewery. Lots of room. Good seating. Outdoor seating.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Good overall vibe.
Lots of sours, ales, high gravity Porters and stouts, ales, a few pilsners, lagers, and the NEIPA conspicuously missing.
Food trucks.
Great restaurants and shopping nearby in San Marco.
Well worth checking out.

Friendly, knowledgeable bartenders were happy to pour out tasting flights at very reasonable prices. The wide selection of crowlers and take out beer was a great plus. This place is a must visit if you're in town.

Up there with Southern Swells as the best brewery in Northeast Florida/Jacksonville. Great variety of styles, high quality ingredients, clean and modern facility. Great location and cool building. What more could you ask for from a local beer spot?!

Checked out Aardwolf on a road trip from Chicago to Key West and back. Had dinner at a pizza joint across the street, and then walked in to find a very nice and laid back taproom. The service was fantastic with the bartenders incredibly knowledgeable about their brews, had a chance to meet one of the brewers as well. The beer, well the beer is just phenomenal! I loved the variety of styles and their take on Belgian styles...just wow! Go here!

This just happened to be right on our way when we needed to make a pit stop, and I'm really glad it was. They have a cool, wide open space inside and out, with a nice beer garden and closed-in parking lot that probably comes in handy for well-attended beer releases. Inside there's a very long bar, lots of high top seating and some booths.
They are clearly still learning and experimenting, but there is a lot of interesting stuff to try here. First of all, you'll notice their BPA has a few medals, which are well-deserved. They've got some oak aged sours, some of which they are still dialing in, some going way over the deep end, and some coming out just right. And they also have a few new school offerings, such as hazy IPA.
Service was awesome in every way, from attentiveness to knowledge and more. They knew a few of their beers were experimentally unsound, and we weren't charged for those. Also, since there is no food menu, they are more than receptive with a BYOF policy, to the point of supplying you with some plates, utensils and napkins if you need them, and handling your trash happily. I had nothing but a good time here.

One of my favorite taprooms anywhere. Good vibe, nicely designed, with indoor and outdoor seating. Most importantly is their tap list. On my last visit they had 22 taps of their own beer ranging from stouts to IPAs to sours to Belgians. Also had meads and wine. Very ambitious in their variety.

Awesome spot in Jacksonville. Huge tap list for a brewery, including a small smattering of guest taps and a great mix of Aardwolf's offerings, from adjunct stouts to milkshake IPAs.
Friendly service; crowlers and growlers to go.

Love the vibe here! The perfect size to still feel small and intimate but big enough to have good crowd on a busy day. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Selection was excellent, both in terms of quantity of offerings and differing styles, including some barrel aged offerings. Would definitely good back if I ever find myself in J'Ville again.

No food (occasional food trucks or BYO), and kind of quiet. It was pleasantly surprising to not have blaring music, just quiet conversation amongst friends enjoying good beer.

Awesome place.l, as long as you go to Kings Av. and not King St. Doh!
20 different brews on tap at this point, ranging from sours to barleywines.
Staff is very cool, very friendly, willing to chat if they have the time and professional.
I love the exposed brickwork, the raw wood, it's a really great vibe, and very family-friendly.
If you only do two, this better be one of them.

Really cool place with a nice vibe in Jacksonville.
About 10-15 of their own beers on tap, all solid, but none of them were spectacular. They sell growlers, but no bottles. The place was quite crowded, but the place is big, so it never felt claustrophobic. No food that I could tell.

Large and pleasant microbrewery with good service, multiple seating areas and plenty of free parking (around back). About 20 beers on tap, including about 4 IPAs, a gose, a RIS, a coffee brown, a pale ale and several other styles. Small pours available at $2 ea., with full pours at $4-$5.

Probably my favorite Local brewery at the moment. Awesome old school building that they renovated to make it into the Brewery/Tap Room. All brick sort of demolition looking style and a few rooms in the back accessible for parties/groups to hang out at. The staff is awesome and I enjoy a majority of their beers as well. This is a must visit if you are traveling through/near Jacksonville, Florida.

I really liked this place. Went there on a Saturday night and had a good mix of folks, great service and a lot of options (not just in the beer dept, but also in seating areas). Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Big tasting room and great beers! Revisited there yesterday (1/15/16). Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Cool music and at least 20 beers brewed on site. Ample parking with a food truck in the lot (a Friday). Reasonably priced flights and pints, and growlers to go.
