My third from this brewery, and it's a tasty one!

Nice looking, good head with some retention, ok lace, beautiful lightly orange color.

Taste and aroma were quite nice, not overwhelmingly strong (wouldn't be appropriate for a blond) but very flavorful. Lightly sweet, grainy, grassy, delicious.

Body is very good, right on par with what a blonde ale should be. I'll certainly buy this one again.

Not sure if this is "honey" blonde, no mention of honey on the bottle, but I'm reviewing it here anyway.

Hats off to good local breweries. I like buying local and the more good local breweries there are, the less my beer has to travel (with all the costs, freshness issues, and environmental issues thereof).

On tap at the Flying Saucer in San Antonio

A: Pours a clear gold color. A small white head forms, and recedes in a instant. No lace to speak of.
S: Pale malts, and a honey sweetness. Fairly cloying in that regard. Nothing else, though not entirely bod.
T: Again, thin and pale malts. Light cereal grains. Then honey and sweetness. The sweetness lingers and takes over to become cloying.
M/D: Basically no body. Very thin and light. With very little carbonation. Eh, I finished my pint, but that is about it.

To me it seems they made a very light pale ale. Then added honey to hide any flaws and cover up the fact that it would basically be light and flavorless without the cloying sweetness from the honey. Blah.
