Thanks to rudzud for sharing.
Nice big creamy foamy head fades fairly quickly though, but slows to a creamy thick 1/2 finger head, nice soapy lacing, super dark brown almost black color.
Nose tons of hazelnut, big nutty toasty, toasted hazelnuts, sweet toasted brown malts, brown sugar and caramel notes, lightly toasted coffee, a flash of pepper way in the back, cocoa dust.
Taste more of the same, tons of hazelnuts out front, toasted nuts, toasted coffee, earthy nutty coffee, light cocoa, etc. Then pepper heat comes through, mild like heat but nice, with little earthy pepper flavor, little caramel and candy notes, hint of booze. Finish mild bitter salty hop character, pepper heat, mild cocoa, tons of hazelnut.
Mouth is med to fuller bod, fair creamy, little pepper heat, nice carb.
Overall very nice.

From a crowler. Not sure of age. Crowler was filled two weeks ago, from a leftover batch, rediscovered in the basement of the brewery. Last brewed for Extreme Beer Fest (early Feb 2020) , so maybe that batch?
Dark brown, almost black, with moderate tan head.
Smell is initially a slightly yeasty chocolate cake batter aroma. As the head dissipates, the yeasty element disappears, and cocoa and hazelnut aromas emerge.
Taste is light semi-sweet chocolate , cola, roasted nuts , poblano pepper (as if they were sauteed in vinegar+honey)- not sweet, not hot, just cooked green pepper , with moderate heat coming in mid-way. Finishes with some light bitterness and hot pepper tang . I've had this 3? times before, and the pepper was less pronounced, so suspect this is older than February. Actually like it better than I remember.
Feel is medium, actually light for the abv, smooth, with light, very fine carbonation. Some moderate, slow warming at the back of the throat, that starts late, and persists awhile, from the peppers. A tiny bit of late heat, at black pepper level +/-, on the tip of the tongue. Other than that, no heat/burn up front, including lips . No noticeable alcohol heat. Once acclimated, and it warms, I almost don't notice the heat, and some coffee & chocolate liqueur flavors become apparent near finish.
Overall, enjoyable, as always. Dangerously easy-drinking.

Black in color. Exceptional taste. Hazelnut and Chocolate. The peppers are a welcome addition.
However, at 9% it should be listed as an American Imperial Stout

dark mocha in color..nice hazelnut in the nose..but once it hits your lips..ALL CHILI PEPPER HEAT!..its almost overpowering at times, completely overides any hazelnut/mocha flavor that I was expecting..its a shame because I had high hopes for this after hearing so many good things but the Chili pepper heat is just too much here..here's to hoping they dial it back when they make another batch
