Poured into tulip; oily brown pour, black in the glass with a nice modest brown head that falls after a bit into some spotty foam on top of the beer and lovely fine lacing all around the glass.
Smells of roasted coffee and bitter chocolate malt, with lesser hints of sweet chocolate. Classic stout aroma.
Taste is also perfect stout; coffee and chocolate, roasty malt with just a hint of milk chocolate sweetness. Some bitterness at the end from roasty malt and hops.
Mouthfeel is medium-light and clean.
Overall, a perfect stout. Simple, to-style, and delicious.
