Purchased from the brewery recently, coming in a 330ml slim brown bottle, bottle-conditioned; bottled on 17/09/2013, BB 17/12/2013, served lightly-chilled in a straight imperial pint glass.

A: dark straw to light orange in colour, coming with a fairly good clarity but interestingly-shaped yeast sediments floating around, topped with a well-lasting, 2cm-thick off-white frothy head.
S: intensely fruity and pretty sweet upfront, suggesting a dominance of the Citra hops really, with grapefruit, gooseberries, minerally-rich white grapes, passion-fruit, and sweet lemon notes everywhere. A good swirl would contribute a bit more malty aroma as from pale malts as well as a wee touch of esters, but only just.
T: an effervescent swallow of hop fruitiness with a mineral-ish touch (more guava and gooseberries here on the nose) comes with a good acidity and a rather light body of malts, settling fast to give way for a moderate flow of chewy hops, some citrus-peel-ish tannic feel and faint leather-ish esters to linger in the finish. Not quite bitter overall, though.
M&O: the mouthfeel is generally refreshing with soft fizz in good supply throughout the drink, while the body as far as an IPA is concerned comes a bit too light, but still in this way allows the late hopping of the tropical-fruit accentuated hop varieties to define this pale coloured hoppy ale. Also, the alc. hides very very well, something Partizan has achieved quite consistently throughout their products. Easy drinking and fairly likeable.
