A 330ml bottle with a BB of June 2013. Acquired a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. The label art is funky.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A very hazy orange-amber hue with medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a thick surface layer. Some lacing. Aroma of juicy hops with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, mild pine and subtle white fruit. Underpinned by hints of caramel malt, earthy yeast and stewed hops, with perhaps just a twinge of alcohol in the background.

Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with yeasty undertones and a crisp bitter finish. Notes of grapefruit, orange peel, lime, citrus, pine, mild white grape, faint grass, earthy yeast, subtle caramel malt and stewed hops. Slightly sweet, with a touch of warming booze in the background. A strident bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and fairly dry, with a spiciness from the hop oils. Light carbonation and good body. Somewhat astringent, with an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, citrus and earth yeast.

Tasty - a solid take on an American IPA. A rather translucent appearance, in spite of my efforts to keep the yeast in the bottle. The aroma is great; an avalanche of fruitiness, while the flavour is hoppy but perhaps slightly more muted. Nice body, though could be a tad more effervescent. However, all complaints are minor - Partizan have created an excellent IPA that would satisfy any hophead. Worth sampling if you chance across it.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass. Bottled Feb '13.

Pours a light copper colour with a white head.

Smells very hoppy - pine, with a hint of soap.

Tastes again of that strong pine and soap in terms of hops. But I should clarify this seems to be how my palate interprets Amarillo hops for some reason - go figure eh. Other than that though, it tastes good. Very hop forward with some biscuity malts to add a bit of balance and body.

Overall a decent enough beer.
