Received in a trade and poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a nice dark rich brown nearly black hue with a one finger mocha head that fades to leave a nice thin blanket and light lacing.
S - Aromas nice nice roasty malts, milk chocolate, and crushed peanuts. Its super nutty, not peanut butter nutty though, just smells like a nice whiff from a jar of peanuts. Actually overpowers the chocolate some, which is rather impressive.
T - Taste is a tasty milk stout for sure. Nice and creamy milk chocolate, light burnt sugar and sweet malts and super creamy thanks to the lactose. My issue though, as tasty as this is, is the peanuts are rather lacking. The nuttiness is there, but, I'm struggling to say it is peanuts and just just well...generic nuts. No noticeable alcohol.
M - Mouthfeel is very nice and creamy. The lactose really helps out.
O - Overall this is a tasty milk stout, for sure, but the peanuts on the taste are rather lacking. Wish the nose translated over more.
