Poured into a pint glass, this shows a fairly clear copper body with some visible carbonation, and a lackluster head that retains some lacing.
Smells of bread and corn, and to me also smells lightly of cherry fruits. Pleasant surprise.
Taste is more of the corn-like toasted malts. Decent.
Crisp, somewhat creamy feel, and then a slightly bitter mineral in the finish. After a few more sips now it seems to feel as if it's getting flat.Odd.
Overall, a good beer to try if you want to sample lagers that aren't made for heavily-advertised mass consumption. Otherwise, not a personal favorite.

Cloudy amber colored pour with a small off-white head. Great malty aroma with hints of caramel, yeast and toast. Taste follows the nose with caramel and bready malt flavors upfront. Slightly sweet taste that also has a nice cereal grain presence with just a hint of hops. Light to medium bodied and drinks really easy. Very well done beer.

A: Pours a clear copper/orange color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and some patchy lace.
S: I love the simple toasted malt aroma here. Lightly sweet caramel malts. Lager yeast. Very simple, but really good.
T: Toasted and sweet malts up front. That quickly fades, with more cereal grains coming through. Just a hint of bitterness lingers.
M/D: A light to medium body. Very clean and dry. I wish there was just a bit more crisp bite though. Still nothing to complain about. So easy and enjoyable to drink. All day with this.

A very well made lager. I enjoy this more and more with each sip. I love the style, and am glad there is a good readily available Texas option.

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener

L: clear gold, no amber ... rich yellow in this one; huge full inch of a thick head, lots of staying power and it sticks well; not much lacing but the pour is a for-sure 5

S: grain, toasted grain, sweet bread malt; corn; hint of wheat; a cut maizefield ... it's kind of a grain bomb and very nice

T: loads of grain with hints of that bread malt and some spicy hops; very clean bite of bitter but not a big one, just very perceptable (black pepper); light sweetness; some earthiness ... gets just a touch medicinal but still very tasty

F: solid all around, very drinkable ... can get watery with too big a pour

O: fantastic six-pack! I loved it all the way through and a perfect diversion from the hop-crazy landscape out there right now; just enough sweetness for taste but not enough to overpower the good toasted grain notes. i will definitely be drinking this one again.

Nice amber-colored beer, with a moderate but quickly fading head. Aroma is dead-on for style, rich, lightly toasty, bready, without any graininess to it. Yummy flavor as well, with plenty of complex malt up front, but enough bitterness to balance it and dry it out a bit at the finish. Body is a little more substantial than normal for the style, but it's not "heavy".

This is a fine, fine vienna.
