this beer is a hazy sunset orange, though a bit dull (i dont know what word to use) and unimpressive looking. but thats the only real negative. the nose is slight, citrus, but the beer is crisp and highly carbonated. clean. seemed to have the perfect blend of citrus (lemon/orange) and wheat with just a touch of spice. extremely refreshing.

The Draft House Belgian Wit is back for the season.

A - Good color, so close to a milk white color, but still has a very light straw color. Head retention was good. Head density was good, but I wouldn't call it "moussy."

S - My aroma rating could be off a bit, as it has been windy here in Vegas lately and my sinus allergies are acting up. That being said, definite citrus aroma, with a hint of coriander and floral aromas in the background. Little to no hop character was detected by my shnoz.

T - Wit's are one of my favorite spring/summertime beers, and this one is at the top of the list as far as flavor goes for me. Great citrus taste with just a hint of vanilla character. Very crisp, very refreshing.

M - Had a little more body than I was expecting, though I don't feel it was out of the ordinary. Definitely not a heavy beer, light enough for the casual drinker, but definitely not water. :)

D - Most definitely drinkable. Dave Otto brought this one home with a 4.5% ABV. At the "tapping party" last Thursday I drank 3 or 4 wits, and one double red. The double red is good, but I switched back to the wit. Easily a beer that one could settle in and session quite easily.

Got this one from my buddy Dave from LV, here doing some canyons in Utah.

Pours a nice cloudy pale yellow color, nice carbonation, with a nice two-finger plus foamy white head, with tons of very nice sticky lacing. The nose is malty, with very nice yeast notes, nice coriander, and some citrus. The taste is malty/yeasts, and spice notes. Medium body. Very drinkable, this one was a joy to drink, recommended.

Sampled on-tap at the Draft House.

This Belgian White poured a hazy, golden color with white foam that settled but clung to the glass and left some lace. (The beer was served with a orange wedge on the glass.) The smell was lightly malty with spices (coriander) and a touch of citrus. The taste had coriander, citrus, and wheat malt with a light sweetness and sugary flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium-light body and moderate carbonation. There was a very light aftertaste of malt and spices. This was a nice, refreshing white ale.

A- 2 finger fluffy white head (excellent retent) sits on top of a cloudy pale washed out yellow brew, great lacing

S- wheat, coriander, yeast, lemon

T- dominant wheat flavor, orange peel, tart finish and after, yeast flavors as well

M- light body, smooth, mellow carbonation, semi-dry and sticky finish

D- mellow and refreshing sessionable brew, tartness is great, not my favorite style but a good wit.
