Yup, definitely an oatmeal beer. So smooth. It could be hard to pick apart from an oatmeal stout, drinking it blind. This beer has more of a milk chocolate character and less roast, like a porter should.

A Microbrewed Beer Club offering. Pours a dark brown color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of dark fruits and roasted malts. Taste is slightly sweet black coffee. Smooth and creamy.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a medium-small, light khaki-colored head.

Smell: Roast-leaning grains, harsh-toned coffee grinds with some burnt toast elements and distant hints at barbecued chocolate chunks.

Taste: Roasty malts tasting of coffee scorched on a long-running carafe burner element, heavily bitter chocolate with just a faint, few, sparse touches of cream and a little bit of nice sweetness doing its best to soften things.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: If you were expecting something light, sweet, smooth and easy-going, you'll be treated to an open-handed slap to the kisser.

Dark brown, with some orange highlights. Light aromas of lightly toasted malt and grain. Thin, roasted grain flavor.

Best by 11Aug21. Poured into a glass tumbler.

A: Dark brown with 1-finger beige foamy head with decent retention and skimpy lacing.

S: Delicious cocoa, light roast, espresso, and light caramel

T: Flavor is a bit lower intensity but still excellent with milk chocolate, cocoa, medium roast, light caramel, and dark malt.

M: medium bodied with low carbonation and full finish.

O: Stellar dark beer by Zipline

Pours a nice dark brown almost black with a short light brown head dissipates pretty quickly to a nice ring around the glass. Aroma of sweet roasted dark malts, a hint of confectioners sugar at the end. Tastes of sweet deep roasted malts, a hint of light hops at the end and done mellow sweetness from the oats. It's crispy, roasty, bitter, and sweet. Overall, I dig it.

I really found this one to be sweeter than most...

Great looking like most, a very good nose to this one with a deep cocoa smell and coffee, the taste was all porter but with a slight sweetness. Mouthfeel is very carbonated with a tad watery finish across the tongue. Overall, a very fine porter, unique, and one that is truly a great representative of the heartland.

Very enjoyable porter. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla coffee creamer like base...Great aroma...flavor is similar...

The oats add a creaminess to this....Medium bodied. It's listed at 6 bills for abv. Not boozy or too rich. Drinks nice and with a nice flavor. It's the kind of porter a guy could session.

this is a very good porter, it’s big and roasty with tons of that dark malty sweetness, chocolate, coffee etc. the mouthfeel is super creamy and it is bone dry without being overly bitter. Ohenomenal beer.

Look - typical for this style, but, little light on the head
Smell - very toasty, with a bit of grain
Taste - very smooth and balanced, but without something to really hang its hat on.
Feel - on the lighter side for a porter.
Leaves me wanting a bit more.
Overall - a decent beer and certainly one I would be happy to drink, but there are others I prefer much more from Zipline.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip.

Pours opaque nearly-black brown, with a fine tan head that retains fairly well, and excellent lacing.

Aromas of coffee, cocoa, cola, lightly-toasted oats.

The flavors are not as sweet as the aromas, and that is a fine thing. Toasted oats forward with coffee and chocolate milk flavors arriving at mid-palate. Just a bit of drying astringency at the finish.

The brew is medium-bodied, smooth, and still well-carbonated.

Overall, a brew that brings stout-level flavor married to a lighter porter body. A nice dark oatmeal brew.
