Pours a reddish orange hue with normal carbonation. Aroma is of fresh hops. Taste is piny hops with a bit of honey malt. You can tell this is close to 8% abv but this is balanced and drinkable. Hops are pine, fruit citrus, not too dank.

I wanted to love this, but I can only say I liked it. They have a great reputation and following but this IPA just didnt do anything special for me. I look forward to trying some of their other products.

1 PINT can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours a hazy amber color with burnt orange and golden highlights. Suspended yeast is visible. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves very little lacing.
The aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. It is not a real in your face smell.
The taste has a sweetness that I imagine comes from the honey. It mutes the citrus and tropical flavors somewhat. The finish has piney with a lingering bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel
This DIPA is definitely on the sweet side. It is easy drinking and tastes good enough for me.

Poured from a growler into a tulip glass. Appearance is Amber/brown in color with one finger thick head. Smell is floral hops, grapefruit and honeysuckle (very nice). Taste follows the nose, but the malty sweetness is slightly too high. Bitterness is just right. Mouthfeel is creamy up front transitioning nicely to a crisp finish.
Overall this is a very good double IPA with excellent hop flavor. However, it is hard to drink more than one due to the malt sweetness. Having said that, I would definitely drink this again if readily available.
