exp: 6/2013
A: Quickly disappating head, witbier like, a bit cloudy, with tons of rising carbonation
S: Grassy, like hay, plasticiness.
T: Watery but sour and grassy. Okay. A hair of sweetness.
M: A hair astringent. Light to medium body.
O: I remember it being better.

Frothy bubbles last for some time over the dark gold active body. Fluff lacing. Smell is beer, malts and hops, normal as can be. Taste is malts with some spice bite to it. Taste falls off and leaves some weedy hops and some metal. Feels quite good however: crisp on the tongue and creamy in the mouth.

An ordinary lager beer.

Pours a clear, spritzy gold with a foamy, short-lived head. More head than most, but there's nothing special about the appearance, though the name may seem to suggest otherwise.

The aroma is of sweet grains and clean minerality. Special?

Extremely light, pleasant and clean. Very low bitterness, with a sweet, grainy character. Touch of earth and hay. Carbonation was harsh, at first, but it's about perfect midway through: effervescent, light and airy. Special?

Not much to say about this beer really. I think the "special" comes from the nonintrusive and drinkable character, which is especially noticeable. It's great that it's organically sourced, and I give the brewery points for that, but I'd rather drink something with more flavor.

Slightly hazy golden color with a three finger head with low retention and leaving some laces.
Light aroma of pale malt and herbs. Hints of sour.
Refreshing taste of biscuit malt, floral hops and peppery yeast. Notes of green apples. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with low carbonation.
I have found this extremely mellow and pleasant with a perfect balance between all ingredients.

BB Aug. 06. Served chilled in a 500ml weizen glass.
A: honeyish dark straw hue, slightly hazy due to non-filtering (some "yeast sediment" is spotted at the bottom of the bottle after pouring); the initially thick and foamy beer head slowly dissipates and leaves a white carpet on the top along with tight sheets of lacing~~ very gently carbonated body.
S: lightly ashy hop resins mix well with a slightly corn syrupy, mildly honeyish malts and even grassy+peanutty hoppyness (reminiscent of Saaz) in the background... very faint suggestion of lemon at the back. Overall quite pleasant, showing a good balance b/w malts and hops.
T: very smoothly-textured malty overtone prevails upfront: a mixed vegetation flavour consisting of corn, boiled potato, steamed yum, and a touch of bitter-sweet tinge of (much-milder-than-the-nose) grassy hops, along with a soft bed of lager malts slowly fading out in the aftertaste. Rather clean and dryish finish, backed by a faint suggestion of sour-fruity yeasts.
M&D: the ideal amount of microscopic fizz makes this lager very approachable~~ it's even like being served on draught, which I guess is due to non-filtering. The roughly-balanced body matches the soft flavour profile rather well, whereas in the aftertaste it goes a bit thin-ish and watery without lingering support of either malty or hoppy elements. That said, this is still a good quality beer, and triggers my interest in this specific type of lager (Dortmunder)~~

A: The color is hazy pale golden and the white really tall head is thick, almost like whipped cream. Slow dissipation, but poor lacings.

S: A dry malty smell. The bitter hops are a bit more obvious than in other Dortmunders, not a bad thing, though. Sour and with green apples.

T: Lots of spices and even some yeast. Dry malt and bitterhops (sounds almost like I would have described a Pilsener, but no - this is very Dortmund). Sour and citric.

M: Aftertaste is medium-long and holds nice dry bitterness. Body is rather light and carbonation is held to a minimum.

O: A very nice organic, non-filtered Dortmunder. Probably the best one, I've ever had.

Color is a hazy gold thats still somewhat transparent and offers an alluring bubbling to the top like a fast moving lava lamp. Head is bright white and pours big but quickly settles to skim the surface of the brew and leaves a heavy lace. Aroma is pungent, full of bitter floral notes, and slightly peppery. Flavor is slightly herby, but milder. Mellow malts can be noted in the background, the far background. Hops and peppey herbs dominate the flavor, though some lemon notes are discernable. All in all a very enjoyable beer.

This arrived wearing a good solid gold color with a small head that shrank but did not vanish. There's not much lace.

The flavors here are nice and make for a very appealing and drinkable beer. There must be some great and unique malts in there, for the effect in the middle of the taste is full of flavor and lends it a nice round mouthfeel. The drinkability is great too.
