Picked up a .5L bottle at Riley's here in Madison.
Pour: honey-golden yellow, slight yeasty haze under a half inch of white foam that fades to a quick skim.
Nose and Taste: wheaty, yeasty funk, dry grain husk, lemon pepper zing, hint of banana bread, and bubblegum. Turns a little salty/sour after the turn. Lingering cracker dry wheat finish.
Feel: light with some yeasty grit and biting carbonation
Drinkability/Overall: An interesting hefeweizen. Light on the banana esters that I like, but lots of interesting wheat malts and yeast going on. Perhaps the organics producing different things. Not my favorite or most balanced hefe, but an interesting, ultimately drinkable wheat. Worth a go.
