Pinkus wheat is a refreshing beer treat. Strictly according to the German Purity Law, Pinkus yeast wheat is produced from 60% Bioland wheat malt and 40% Bioland barley malt, hops and first-class brewing water. It does not contain any protein stabilization agents. Before bottling, unvealed beer wort is added to the wheat beer from Münster, which allows the beer to ferment in the bottle. Therefore, it is advisable to always pour Pinkus yeast wheat well chilled and with some feeling. Very much for the best!

App - very pale gold color, a bit cloudy, pours a robust white head, exceptionally creamy and with good retention.

Aroma - a bit of a cidery fruitiness, subtle clove

Flav - A gentle wheat maltiness, a bit bready with just a subtle hint of yeast character. Not an overpowering banana/clove kind of hefe flavor. No hop flavor, very low bitterness. Finishes with a gentle fruitiness, and the overall flavor profile is quite soft and gentle - nothing jumps out.

MF - medium body and very high carbonation, both style appropriate.

D'ability - A nice refreshing hefe, but I personally like ones brewed with more prominent tasting yeast strains. But if a nice clean wheat beer is what you seek, this one fits the bill. Is the extra cost worth the organic label? Something for each person to decide for themself.

500ml bottle labelled for the American market with no bottling or best before date.
L: Hazy, pale yellow with three fingers of short-lived head.
S: Lemony aroma with no sign of clove or banana esters.
T: Similarly light flavour. Vague wheat flavour but none of the interest of other traditional German hefeweizens.
F: Light body with a clean finish, a smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation.
O: A delicate and refreshing lager but very lacking in taste and aroma for a hefeweizen.

From a 500ml bottle. Cloudy golden color with minimal head. Faint wheat smell. Medium feel, a little low on carbonation. Light wheat flavors with some banana and lemon on the finish. Kind of muted flavors.

500ml brown bottle. Label has 5.1% ABV. Label has stamping of '07000N2'.
Clear, straw colored body. Brief white head, which disappears. No lacing.
Aroma of lemon and faint wheat malt.
Taste of wheat malt, banana, and cloves. Faint lemon flavor. Overall, rather weak flavor profile.
Medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation. Dry finish.
Not much for a flavor driven Hefe but does quench the thirst. There are many better HefeWeizen beers out there.

Look: semi-clear golden with nice thick white head

Aroma: wheat, banana, some yeast

Flavor: wheat, lemon, banana, some yeast.

Body/Overall: light to medium body, easy drinking, thirst quenching

Bought a 16.9 oz bottle Whole Foods $3.74
Very faint smell of spices, citrus.
Hazy golden amber tinged color
Medium-light mouthfeel
Medium-light carbonation
Tastes of oranges, light spices
Overall not an exciting beer. Seems like a light version of a hefe. Wouldn't buy again.

Had Pinkus Hefe-Weizen poured from 16.9-oz. bottle, label stamped "94000N3," into pilsner glass.

This is a sophisticated Hefe, or underwhelming some find, with subtle aromas and only a hint of banana. All the classic flavors are there--hop and wheat spice, cloves, banana--but carried on a mildly-sweet body to a bready finish.

The pour is somewhere between dark yellow & light orange & it is well carbonated. The aroma seems to be muted, but if I really stick my schnoz down in the hefeweizen glass I can pick up on some faint banana & wheat notes. The taste is a mild banana & mild wheat note & water. This beer is too watered down for my liking. I prefer a mucher bolder hefeweizen although I do notice a bottled on date on back of the bottle label. Cheers! B-

L-Pours a hazy straw gold bodied beer with with a very tiny, lacy head. An almost murky look.
S- The smell is very faint, but I do pick up some some banana and clove. Some unpronounced sweetness as well as maybe some apple? Not a bad smell, just criminally faint.
T- The flavor is sweet and slightly fruity. Notes of clove and banana, as well as some lemon. Toned down, but interesting enough. There's some nice bitterness at the end as well.
F- Milky and cloudy mouth feel. Medium bodied beer. A little bit of carbonation, but honestly a bit watery too.
O- Below average beer. It isn't bad, and I enjoy it to an extent, but there isn't anything great or even really good about this beer. Seems a bit premature.
Ehh..
