This one is outstanding to me due to it's unique characteristics. Some IPA's are either subtle, bigger, or bolder. This one is unique, never tasted another IPA like it and I have had my share for sure. I almost did not buy it but I saw it had a score of 84 on BA so I took the hook and I am certainly enjoying this brew.

Poured to a gold / amber color with a full, white head with good lacing and retention. Aroma had notes of pine, citrise with a strong hop overtone. Tasted earthy with grass, pine, hop and floral notes with a slight malty / sweet finish. Mouthfeel was medium with a clean finish.

Pours a darker gold with a nice amber hue and a thin head into my glass. I just want to note that I like how the hops are listed on each side of the can (Centennial, Crystal, Meridian, Horizon and Nugget).

A smorgasboard of aromas greets the nose (citrus, pine, fresh-cut grass) followed by a good amount of malt.

Fresh-cut grass, grapefruit, mango and pine upfront. So much flavor for something that's shy of 7%.

The finish is clean too, which is rare for a beer with this many hop varieties.

You bet your ass that this is WORTHY of a try! I'd like to try their DIPA just to see if the higher ABV would enhance (or ruin) the overall profile.

12oz can at 41 F poured into a tulip. Canned on 5/27/14, so it's about three weeks old.

Pours clear, golden amber, with a medium sized head that mostly fades at a medium pace. Smallish amount of slow carbonation. Smell is pine, citrus, fruit. Nice.

Taste loses a lot of that nice fruitiness. There's an echo of it, and still some pine, but the flavor is surprisingly mild. Slow, mild bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is slightly thick, fairly still. Overall, it's not bad. I wish the flavor was up to the aroma.

A> Pours a beautiful hazy golden color with a nice looking 2 finger head that sticks around just for a bit before receding into nice lacing.

S> Hop-forward, lots of pine and citrus with a very juicy aroma. A little bit of sweetness comes through from the malt. Hints of melon.

T> Also hop-forward, again lots of citrus but the pine mellows on the tongue. Malt is more dominant in the taste, still a melon-like sweetness but also a bit of toast and butteriness on the backend. Finishes just a bit boozy keeping the hops in the forefront but retains a pleasant balance.

M> Really nice mouthfeel, on the thicker end but that's how I like my beers. Carbonation is appropriate. Highly drinkable.

O> A very nice IPA that skews towards the hops with its big juicy grapefruit and pine flavors but this brew has enough sweetness from the malt to keep things balanced and drinkable. This isn't the best IPA from the West Coast but it's a darn good one that is highly drinkable while keeping things interesting. I would drink this one again, in fact I think I will have another one! :)

A coworker of mine was telling me to give this IPA a go. I sought it out and discovered this beer is neither memorable or eventful, nothing going on here. I would not drink it again unless I was hard pressed. I might be tempted to try it from a tap, or after I had a few good ones.
