Served from the can into a snifter.
A- Poured a very dark brown with mocha colored soapy head that left some splashy lace.
S- Mostly bready notes, but very faint.
T- Big bready notes, some white sugar notes, cream, some dark fruits, and light roasted malt notes.
M- Soft carbonation, smooth, pretty creamy, dry finish.
O-This is a nice creamy dark beer, but really does not have the chocolate and coffee notes I expect for the style and none of the vanilla notes for this being a vanilla stout.

Fresh 12 oz can (canned on date of 27 May 2014).
Large foamy beige head over a dark, clear, nearly opaque brown body. Superior retnetion and lacing.
Feel: creamy and foamy like a good rootbeer float. Medium-full body.
Flavor/aroma: Vanilla is clearer in the aroma but present throughtout tasting. Slightly sweeter than average, but excellent bitter/sweet balance.given the vanilla.

Poured into a Reuben's Brew snifter. Pours a very dark brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a thin light brown head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of sweet dark roasted malt, light chocolate and vanilla. Flavor follows aroma, sweet dark malt, light toastiness, chocolate, hints of coffee; vanilla gives it a mild milk stout profile, finishes with sweet chocolate, malt and a pleasant final grassy hop bitterness that is a nice contrast to the otherwise fairly mellow flavors. Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess. A nice vanilla stout with well balanced flavors and some hops that kick in at the end to keep things interesting. Enjoyable.

This is a delicious chocolate/coffee stout. Was my first fill in a new growler. Poured dark with a light creamy head. Tasty chocolate and coffee notes in the beer. I hope to see this around in bottles/cans soon. Smooth drink, will definitely buy again.

I literally drove 300 miles to pick up a couple growlers from this brewery. The bartenders weren't very friendly at all but I guess they don't have to be producing a stout that can keep up with my appetite! Way to go fellas and wenches keep behind dicks cause you make a damn good beer!

Poured from 12oz can into a pint glass.
Appearance: deep, rich amber-brown hue with red highlights. Body is haze-free with a relatively strong effervescence, and head is a finger of frothy tan foam with a decent retention. I like it.
Smell: a sweet milk-stout character with a little bit of chocolate and some vegetal hops. Not too bad.
Taste: a bit of sweetness, some coffee and chocolate, and a bit of earthy, vegetal hops. Actually, pretty on-message for an American stout. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: a drinkable and tasty American stout. It's got a little bit of milk-stout sweetness and a little bit of a roastier edge as well, which pull off a nice balance together.
