Served in a maßkrug at Hofbräuhaus Rosemont.
Though listed as simply "Hefe Weizen Dunkel" on the website, it was called "Winter Weizen" on the menu, hence how I have listed it here. It pours a cloudy sienna-cored gold topped by two fingers of slightly off-white foam. The nose comprises wheat, banana, clove, light cocoa powder, orange zest, light coriander, light black pepper, and a touch of honey. The taste brings in more of the same, only more powerful and with the spices really shining through. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a nearly creamy feel. Overall, a damn fine dunkelweizen, a fine accompaniment to my tasty sauerbraten dish.
Serving type: on-tap
