Drew nails it again with this amazing DIPA. It gives DWTD a run for it's money. Never had the original version from a few years back so can't compare. One things for sure though this batch is fantastic! (205 characters)

On tap @ 18th Street. Apparently the new version is quite a bit better than the old one. It's one of the best DIPAs I've had in a long time. Smooth, hoppy as hell and wonderful. (177 characters)

(Served in a tulip)
A- This beer pours a clear golden yellow body with a lumpy snow white head and a slow gentle carbonation.

S- Green full pineapple weed with some woody hop notes. The finish has a sweaty malt aroma underneath that has a bit diacetyl quality.

T- The big green pungent bite has some Munich malt sweetness support with some grassy hops lingering. There is a slight spicy quality to the hops as it opens.

M- The medium mouthfeel with a gentle fizz and so real alcohol heat noticed.

O- The big pungent bite is a monster and has a good unique hop profile, and some nice malt support. Nice sipper. (617 characters)

Beautiful dark orange brew, a touch hazy. Aroma promises waves of hops, but it's tough to pick out profiles beyond vaguely tropical.

Flavor profile follows, with mostly tropical hops presenting, carrying a massive dose of bitterness to a fairly sweet pale malt profile.

Fairly lively feel, barely inching into slightly syrupy territory, but nothing egregious.

This was a very good DIPA, drinkable and enjoyable. (414 characters)

Alright, I haven't done one of these in awhile.

I poured this beer into a tall tulip glass from a chilled 22oz bomber bottle. I love the label.

The nose is full of ripped lemon peel, cut pine, wet grass, and pineapple skin. I get a little alcohol burn and the malt bill is a ghost.

It's start off right with a ton of green, sharp notes of pine that fade to an aspirin like bitterness that lasts a bit too long. It's one to let warm as it does get easier to quaff, but holy fuck. I love bracingly bitter, dry IPAs, but this is a little much for me. It's a not a drain pour, but a bit too extreme for me.

The mouthfeel is full and quenching. It's quite pleasant.

Overall, everything about this beer is great except for the taste. I just wish it was a bit more balanced. I'll finish the bottle, but I won't pick up another one, maybe. (837 characters)

Orange color, bright sharp clarity, visible trails of carbonation rising slowly. On the surface a thin finger of white foam sits with a creamy texture to it. As it falls after a minute or two, a drippy collar of lacing forms around the edges.

Pungent hop aroma, dank and almost cheesy at first (Columbus?). After it sits for awhile, the smell becomes green and piney, sticky and resinous, never losing its sharply bitter edge.

Taste is extremely bitter, almost to a fault, it leaves an impression of dry chalky aspirin mixed in with pine resin. Body is medium, and the beer is sticky on the lips. Bitterness is a bit overbearing with nothing to balance. Bitter citric orange peel, tastes like chewing them raw. Overall it's not bad, but not all that drinkable, and it obliterates the tastebuds. Harsh, in a word. (816 characters)

No freshness info apparent on the bottle.
Poured in to tulip.

A - Translucent cloudy orange colour with a half finger of cream coloured head.

S - Fresh mango, pineapple, peach and tangerine. Slight caramel malt backbone is present.

T - Juicy mango, peach, pineapple and tangerine flavours with a moderate bitterness and a touch of honey/caramel malt sweetness.

M - Medium body. Sticky and oily. Light carbonation. (420 characters)

Two hours in Chicago traffic to get this beer, I wish I gotten more.

At first taste you get hit with some good hop flavor followed by some nice citrus. It's exactly what I look for in a DIPA at the finish, it leaves my mouth dry and wanting more. I could drink this beer all day.

I should note I normally do not write reviews, let alone start them. I went out of my way to start this review because the masses must know about this killer, killer brew. (459 characters)

22 oz bottle courtesy of clewis901 pours an uber-hazed, light gold color with an ample cap of creamy head. Nice retention.

Nose is quite citric and sweet....not unlike orange vodka mixed with 7-up. Interestingly big and alcoholic.

Taste is fruity, orange peel with maybe more than a few crushed pine needles. The bitterness is big atop a thin-ish body. The malt is a bit flabby and doesnt provide much body. Alcohol is not as smooth as it could be either. Its not bad, goes down pretty easy. I have had a few Galaxy single hop beers and I gotta say...Im not over-the-top in love with this varietal. (600 characters)
