Poured on draught into a tulip glass.
Appearance is golden orange with one finger thick head and good retention.
Smell is a plethora of tropical fruit (orange, grapefruit pith, lychee, lemon and pineapple) and pine as well as some onion. The mosaic hops are leading the way with Citra in the background.
Taste follows the nose with pine and grapefruit pith most prominent with a solid malt backbone. Great balance of hops and malt. Low to moderate sweetness and bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden buy comes out a little bit on the finish. Flavors linger for a good 5-10 sec.
Mouthfeel is creamy and slightly oily with a good medium body. Carbonation starts out relatively low but increases as the beer warms creating a nice bite at the end.
Overall this is an excellent double ipa. The mosaic and citra hops are perfectly combined with a great malt base. Highly recommend this beer.
