This is labeled as their "session beer." At 4.8% ABV, not quit, but about as close as you are going to get in the States. I am very interested to try this...
A: Pours a hazed golden/orange color. A small white head forms, but the glass was filled to the brim. Plenty of lace is left behind.
S: Big citrusy, lemony hops up front. Peppery spice. Then a big bread/biscuit aroma. A bit of a grapefruit bitterness lingering. Very well balanced, and so enjoyable.
T: Follows the nose with the big hop presents up front. Citrus, lemon, grapefruit. Then that big biscuity malt profile. A bit of a bitterness lingers. Excellent balance, and everything works perfectly together.
M/D: A medium body that is very effervescent. Crisp, so clean and dry as well. Incredibly easy and enjoyable to drink. All day with this, and went perfectly with the pizza.
This is a low ABV "sessionable" ale that is hardly ever done right in the States. An excellent standby if at the brewpub, and a joy to drink.
