Pours a fizzy bubbly almost 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, plenty of spotty lacing, nice reddish amber brown semi clear colored beer.

Nose brings some lame style hops, a bit earthy and grassy, little leafy, light pine, chewy stale hops, sweet reddish toasty amber candy like malts as well.

Taste comes with some mild sweetness, more toasty reddish amber malts, a little candy and caramel malt flavors. Then bitterness, some bitterness but not a lot, earthy grassy chewy slight piney almost stale like hops, despite the bitter hops and sweet malts, they don't seem to blend well or balance each other, just a poor job it seems. Finish is semi sweet semi dry, little sticky, lingering toasty amber slight candy caramel malts, more piney earthy again stale hope flavor, and bitterness that starts to rip like an ESB that is too much chewy grassy slight herbal hop.

Mouth is med bod, decent carb.

Overall meh, nothing really well done, more like a amber ESB than anything, hops are not the right kind for an American IPA, and taste kinda stale, and the malt and hops don't balance somehow. Not a very well done beer IMO.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: Pours a dark copper color - it's even a bit darker than I expect from most IPAs. The head forms a two-finger offwhite shade, and features a soft creaminess. Retention isn't great, though, but there's some nice lacing left down the glass.

S: I really don't get much hops here. The hoppiness I do detect, however, is quite pleasant, with notes of mango and grapefruit. This really strikes me as malty - and not the good kind either, more of the "way too much crystal malt" kind. As such, caramel and toffee abound.

T: Slight citrusy hops flash themselves on the palate at first. However, it's quickly washed away by tons of caramel, toffee, marzipan, and nutty flavors. Spicy, herbal hops return on the back end. I'm never a huge fan of these "pine-and-crystal-malt" IPAs, and this one in particular is too sweet.

M: This feels bigger than it really is, and that's not quite a compliment. It's heavy-feeling on the palate and goes down (relatively) slowly due to lazy carbonation. It's a bit softer/less coarse than I expected from this kind of IPA, however.

O: It's just too malty for me. A very average beer: it's reasonably well made yet forgettable, with a definite 'please the masses' vibe to it. I wouldn't buy it again with so many great IPAs on the market.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a Belgian tulip glass.

A: Pours a copper golden straw with a 2-finger white head that slowly dissipates leaving a nice trail and ending in a sold lace.

S: Strong hoppy aroma with a mild citrus and pine scent.

T: Bitter hops up front followed by a faint sweet malt.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: This was a well balanced IPA – good flavors and aromas.
