Sweet chocolate notes lead as raspberry tartness follows in unison resembling a perfectly executed dance. The result is a blend of flavors even more spectacular together than apart. It’s love at first sip.

I write a formal apology to the beer brethren of the universe, as I have sinned. In my fridge, there are many beers I have long forgotten about from last winter.
This one was canned 12/20/20, and I'm pouring it into a Parish Globe Snifter.
Rubus Cacao pours a light skinned brown, but forms a purplish-brown in the glass with a sudsy milky off-brown head of 1 finger. Leaves lacing up the sides.
Aroma is coffee grounds and citra hops, giving off a very cascadian dark ale vibe. Bright and jammy fruitiness underneath. I gotta say, if this were a Black IPA, it'd be a hell of a nose. From the glass with air I get some nuts and chocolate nibs, with the earthy hoppy vibe mixed in.
Flavor is practically dirt water. I do not get any fruit, or chocolate, or "cacao" even; wait, maybe a hint of raspberry jam on the very back end, like a guy yelling across a baseball field. You can barely make out what he's saying. It's practically dirt water otherwise.
Feel is crisp and tight with some lightly busy carbonation, lots of dryness, and lots of roast. Light hop resins.
Overall, may be due to the age, but this was a total dirt fest. I don't think I'd even give it a second chance. Pretty bad. I could scoop some garden dirt and mix it with water and rhubarb and get similar results.

Taste: There are some chocolate flavors with cocoa. It also has raspberry elements as well. There are some roast elements and vanilla.
Feel: It has a smooth creamy texture with a bit of a bitter bite in the aftertaste.
Overall, it has a nice combination of flavors without any being over done and a great texture.

single 12oz can from Party Town
Pours a dark brown color with a thin head that dissipates rather quickly.
Aroma is all raspberry, you can already smell it when you pour into the glass.
Taste is similar to the aroma, vary much raspberry coming through with bitter cocoa on the finish.

Tasty raspberry, but a little bitter for my taste.
High alcohol but could not taste it. Would not get again.

Pours red-black like a cherry coke. Bitter on the front end with the rubus (blackberry?) coming through as an after taste. Aroma revealed the berries first. A little less carbonation would smooth it out and improve mouth feel. Just as great as last year’s!

This is a quality raspberry stout. So many others fail because they dont really capture the raspberry flavor, they come off far too sweet or have a sort candy-like, fake fruit taste. The fruit is definitely present in this beer but in a balanced proportion; the cacao helps with that. Its smooth, a little light for a stout but overall it works pretty well.
