Brewed to celebrate the start of our favorite pastime. Rounding Third has a slight caramel semisweet malt backbone balanced by a strong hop profile. Dry hopped with Falconers Flight and Simcoe that will have your pallet rounding third and heading for home.

12oz CANNED 02.16.2023 (16 days ago) poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 6.5% ABV. The beer pours bright light amber with khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and layer of multiple sized bubbles. Slight lacing. The aroma is mild with candied citrus and sweet caramel malt. The taste is semisweet caramel malt with bright, moderately bitter citrus throughout. There's an earthy, possibly floral hop flavor on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good example of an American IPA subset that's rarely seen in the current market.

Partly embedded in American red ale, and partly in that of IPA, MadTree's kickoff to the baseball season will have the tastebuds singing, "Take me out to the tap room..."
Served up as a medium amber ale with the depths of chestnut showing through the center, Rounding Third greets the rim of the glass with an off white, rich lather. Fruity with citrus and a hint of stone fruit, the hop impact on the nose outshines much of the caramelized and toasted malt complexities. Its taste however, focuses on malt sweetness as a taste of caramel, toast and nuttiness is redolent with cracker jacks ballpark snacks.
Then as the ale washes the middle palate, the focus once again begins to favor the hops. With the malt influence relaxing, its the Falconer's Flight hops that bring a mango, lemon and pink grapefruit flavor while the Simcoe ensures a grapefruit and grassy tandem in taste. Those grassy flavors extend into an embittered late palate of pine, hemp and citrus rinds.
Medium bodied but providing a crisp, malty dry finish, the spring seasonal is balanced with creamy malt character without hindering its drinkability. More bitter than sweet, the beer is easy enough on the palate for mindless quaffability but is also varied enough to enjoy for the pure culinary art of the drink.

Poured into a pint glass. A moderately hazy amber color in the glass with a thick and long-lasting off-white head. Great rocky foam in the glass mid-drink. Muted pine with faint caramel on the nose. The pine was there through and through on the palate with old school bitterness. As expected, caramel, burnt toffee, and amber malty flavors were there and they paired nicely with the piney, earthy hop profile. Medium bodied. Overall a very nice and tasty beer.
