Poured from a can into a Goose Island tulip. The beer is simply beautiful in the glass. It's crystal clear, deep gold in color, and sports a majestic frothy white head that retains itself very well and leaves behind some nice lacing. Nice dank hop aromas abound on the nose. Grapefruit, lemon, pine trees, and a hint of orange rind rise from the glass.

The beer has a medium body and a nicely balanced flavor. It is a tad sweet up front in a toast and marmalade kind of way. There are enough hops to remind you it's an IPA, but not nearly enough to make the beer rancidly bitter. The hop flavor is more of a floral, resiny, piney bitterness and less of a citrusy bitterness. As I prefer citrus, this is a pity. Still, the balance is so well dialed-in that I find myself thoroughly enjoying the flavor. It doesn't bombard you. It just sort of glides across the palate and leaves a nice lingering dank hoppy flavor on the finish (with your palate still more or less intact).

Overall, an extremely well-crafted IPA, though I wish it had more of a citrus character. It's important to note that this is not some hop-bomb-science-experiment or ridiculous ``extreme beer'' concoction. This is an exceptionally well-balanced American IPA; the kind that will still be popular when extreme beers have run their course. It's not intended for macho hopheads who dismiss anything that doesn't rip the taste buds off their tongue.

I do enjoy a beer with a witty name, hopefully the beer can back it up, and yay canned craft beer! No date on the can, but should be fresh. Just received in a trade thanks to crapturds (reddit).

Pours a nice big creamy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, nice soapy lacing, a hazy apricot orange slight golden huge beer.

Nose brings a nice hop aroma, though a bit lighter than I expected as far as strength goes. It brings a nice floral note, with some citrus, a little stone fruit, mild grassy notes, mild pith like and even a bit resinous, also a nice tangerine as it warms, all that with a hint of a sweet candy malt base.

taste comes on with a big hop base, and what seems like malts but comes through bone dry. Hops are the main attraction again, with more citrus and a little resin, mild grapefruit pith with a bit more tangerine, a hint of a stone fruit note, mild grassy slightly herbal hops that also hint at a touch of mint in the background. There is a mild reddish toasty malt presence in there, but no sweetness as it seems almost overly attenuated, the balance is long gone. The hops turn a bit spicy and chewy on the back end, and especially on the super dry finish, as the hops really linger with bitterness it gets a little astringent and tongue nagging bitter, which is not necessarily a bad thing if you love super hoppy bitter beers.

Mouth is med bod, lots of nice fluffy carbonation, very dry.

Overall quite nice, enjoyable tasty hops, with enough body to back it up despite the lack of sweetness or much of a malt profile. That being said, perhaps a bit over-attenuated as it lacks any sort of balance and the rampant hops just destroy your palate. Still a pretty nice beer.

a - poured a one finger thick off-white head into a snifter that left a thin ring and sheet throughout. the body was a bright orange-amber color.
s - citrusy and grassy hops.
t - citrus, grassy and floral hops with some honey sweetness to balance it out. this reminds me a little of hopslam, jr.
m - bubbly and crisp but a little too thin.
o - very drinkable and solid ipa. i would have like more carbonation but overall really good. loved the aroma and taste.

32 ounce growler. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with some orange tints and about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like floral and citrusy (orange peel, grapefruit) hops, and some bready malt. It tastes like floral/herbal hops, citrusy (grapefruit, mango, citrus peel) hops, and some caramel and bready malt. There's also a nice bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think it's a good IPA, I wouldn't mind picking this up again. Worth trying for sure!

A - Poured into a pint glass without much head retetion and a light to golden color.
S - hops, citrus and pine
T - Hop centric, citrus and grapefruit with a piney flavor. This is bitter but balanced out with the malts.
M - Medium body, high carbonation.
O - Its really nice that this is brewed in my neighborhood.
