look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5

Aroma: Moderate grassy and citrus hop notes up front. Light caramel notes and clean fermentation character as the beer warms.

Appearance: Hazy amber pour with a low white head. Tight bubbles fade to sticky lacing. Head retention is fair. Appears still in the glass.

Flavor: Firm earthy hop bitterness up front. Mild grassy and lemon hop flavors. A bready backbone which provides a counterpoint. The balance is easily to the firm earthy hop bitterness. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste lingers and is bitter.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Slightly oily. No astringency or creaminess noted. No alcohol heat detected.

Overall impression: A bitter American IPA. Seems to blend into the "sea of sameness" for a lot of IPA's on the market these days. Not terrible but nothing to set it apart from the pack either. Too many other good examples out there for me to seek out again.

Nice clarity. Nice bite. Nice hop influence. Pine and what seems like a touch of lemon. Nice stuff. Nice, nice, nice. I will search for better descriptors for the next beer.

I am partial to IPAs, so I have to be extra careful to not rate them unjustly higher relative to other styles.

I drank it straight out of the can, so I cannot really offer a rating on the beer itself, just the can. Which is cool by me. The smell is almost masked. Very low-key for an IPA. Usually they are floral; this one not so much.

Tastes great. Has a hint of nuttiness. Not incredibly bitter. Can't really taste the alcohol. Has a bit of bite at the end that tends to linger - reminiscent of their Gnarly Brown.

Feels light in the mouth. Not Coors Light light, but lighter than many others at this ABV.

Overall, I liked the beer and since I am from Ohio I tend to like it even more.

This is a really solid ipa. Delicious floral and tropical hop flavors sustained and held nicely together by the malt backbone. Decent aroma upon opening of can as well.

Thanks @WesMantooth! Rec'd in NBS BIF #1

Good couple fingers of head, held for a spell then tapered off into a lite beautiful layer.
Citrusy lemon zest meets grapefruit, a bit piney meets grassy. Some bready malt comes through nicely.
Taste starts with citrus, goes to grassy and then bready malt that takes a backseat to an earthy bitterness. Crisp yet slightly resiny on the finish.
Overall, quite good. I will seek this out again.

Looks good, Smells GREAT....taste was pretty good but something in it was a little off. I enjoyed it but I kept tasting a little hop like soapiness..... I had mine on tap....I guess there was a chance that came from the glass. Still it was enjoyable. Not a session beer...

A: The beer is clear amber yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high frothy off white head that took a long time to die down, but never completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate amounts of citrusy and grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste shares some similarities to the smell, starting off with initial flavors of light citrusy hops and finishing with slightly stronger flavors of grassy hops that linger into the finish. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The grassy hops in this beer make it unique compared to other beers in the style.

12oz can into a pint glass.

Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a one finger, thick white head.

The hops in this really smack you in the face with lemon/lime and tropical citrus notes. There is really a lot of grass that comes through as well. Just the slightest bit of vanilla too.

Creamy lemon and lime in the flavor followed by some juicy tropical fruit; closely follows the aroma. Very crisp bitterness wit enough malt to keep the hops from being overwhelming. Everything cleans up very nicely towards the finish with some light bread and just the tiniest bit of sweetness.

Overall, a very good IPA from a smallish regional brewery. Impressive from a young brewery and really deserves to be better known.

12 oz can. About 3 weeks old. Paid $10 for a 6 pack

A - Mostly clear. A golden, hazy, morning pee color (sorry). Fairly frothy head with moderate lacing.

S - Definitely some citrus. I would say grapefruit. Floral hops, and a sweet malt.

T - Bitter hops up front. Floral and very grassy. I imagine kind of what my yard might taste like in a blender (not entirely bad). Followed by a sweet bready taste. Bitter again on the back side with a grapefruit punch.

F - Pretty thin body. A bit watery. Maybe. Average carbonation. Slick oily finish.

O- A bit disappointed by this highly regarded IPA. Not super balanced. A lot of high and low points. A solid palate wrecker. Maybe I have had too many of Ohio's IPAs that taste like doubles/imperials... Not a bad beer at all, very good, but this may likely be my only purchase with White Rajah all around.

Pours a hazy golden orange, finger of white head, light lacing

Smell is orange, sweet bread, caramel, lemon, some spruce, a hint of grapefruit and grain

Taste is sweet orange with notes of grapefruit, pine, sweet bread, pineapple, light resin, bitter hops in the finish

Mouthfeel is medium full, with a dry finish, a bit oily

I like it, as with most Ohio IPAs I have had it is top notch, I do not know what Ohio brewers know that most states don't, but damn seems everyone of there brewers knows how to do a good IPA!

Can shared by Curran last night, thanks man.

Pours a dirty earthy orange, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells fairly citrusy, with some lemon zest and pine leading the way.

This tastes fairly good, but it's got a fairly watery middle, that leaves the flavors falling a bit flat. There's something missing. The notes of pine, citrus, grass, and a bit of caramel malt do taste good, they just don't pop like I know they should.

The body on this one is light, with a crisp but slightly watery mouthfeel, as mentioned above. There is a moderate amount of carbonation.

This falls just a bit short, some tweaks and it would be excellent.

A hazy, golden copper, topped with a lingering frothy head and good lacing. Faint aromas of grapefruit, lemon, and orange with floral hops are resiny pine. The understated malt backbone softens the Cascade, Chinook, and Centennial hops. An easy drinking American IPA with a clever name. (6.9% ABV)

A: Slightly hazy burnished gold color, with many fine bubbles streaming up and a snow-white head and lacing.
S: Highly citrusy hop aroma.
T: High bitterness with citrus hop flavor, which doesn't completely hide the candy-sweet malt, though it certainly dries out a bit in the finish.
M: Light bodied given the strength, lots of carbonation.

Very nice, easy to drink IPA.

I found this to be a very average IPA. I love the hop but this one didn't live up to the hype. As I write this, I'm sitting at the brewery, 6 feet from the tap. It is just an average beer. What a bummer. Their Galaxy High Imperial IPA is much more in line with what I expected. It's a very good beer. Psychopathy is just average.

*12 oz can*

I was on vacation and found this little sixer that was dated 6-25-14. So I bought it! Time to describe this brew. First this comes at you like looking like an easier to find Pliny. Very pretty to look at! Deep golden honey almost on the brink of copper tone. Pleasant whit tight bubbly head. The fumes from this is pretty standard for an IPA. Huge floral hops with underlying citric notes of grapefruit zest and a little bit of pineapple. Grains are there and are dominant while this brew warms. The flavor is as the nose describes. Citric and floral/grass with a kiss of resinous hops. The malts are there resembling toasted grains and biscuits. Semi-dry finish with a bitter snap of hop resins that coat the tongue. The body on this beer Medium-light, par carbonation to help the flavors pop.

Overall: I'm glad I made this purchase. This is an above par hoppy brew. It's slightly off balanced, which is a good thing IMO. That way all the hop oils still stay within the beer. Yet it's also not hop water. This brew is crisp and clean. I have no problem killing a few after cutting the grass, yadayadayada... This brew is Worthy!

Got as part of a beer trade with pkthebuckeye. Can into a pint glass

A&S: I could smell this one the second I opened the can. Lots of tropical and citrus aromas in the smell. Hints of some earthy tones. Very pretty looking beer, hazy light orange with lots of carbonation liveliness. Head is white and has pretty great retention along with leaving a far bit of specked lacing on the glass.

T&M: Upfront is full of citrus hops. A wee bit of maltyness for balance (but primary a hop forward style ipa). Mildly bitter in the finish, doesn't hang around excessively on the palate. On the higher side of medium for body and crisp, but not shape carbonation.

Overall: Great beer, would recommend. One of, if not my favorite of the trade.

White head. With a little bit of lace. Color is an orange hued gold.

Flavor profile: A little bit of tropical flavors. Mangoes and pineapple. A fair amount of floral hops.

Mouthfeel: Bitter and some stickiness. Hop resiny. Medium bodied.

Overall, a solid ipa. Really easy to drink this one as it isn't overly bitter. This one has a nice amount of flavor.

32 ounce growler. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with some orange tints and about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like floral and citrusy (orange peel, grapefruit) hops, and some bready malt. It tastes like floral/herbal hops, citrusy (grapefruit, mango, citrus peel) hops, and some caramel and bready malt. There's also a nice bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think it's a good IPA, I wouldn't mind picking this up again. Worth trying for sure!

poured 12oz can into snifter.

A - Hay dark orange with a decent 1.5 finger white head. Nice retention that drops into a collar and good amounts of spotty lacing.

S - Intense, dank, grassy, herbal hops give this its big aroma. I also notice some citrus and sweet caramel.

T - Bitter citrus up front with the grassy and herbal notes. It mellows out into the caramel malts and finishes with a nice bitter grapefruit.

M - Lighter body with a sticky feel. Carbonation well with in range for an IPA.

O - Another very good IPA from Ohio. They must think they are on the west coast, because I have had many good IPAs from the state. Well done.

Can from Peter. THANKS DUDE! Pours light copper orange, mostly clear and ever so slightly hazy, with a half finger white head. Aroma of bitter piney orange rinds, flowery notes, with sweet caramel in the back. Flavor is bright bitter orange peel with a rather present caramel malt backbone for a single IPA. Sweet orange peel finish that lingers with dry pine bitterness. Resinous, with medium carbonation. A nice brew all in all.

Poured PsycHOPathy IPA into a pint glass.

A - Pours a clear dark golden with a finger of white head.

S - On first sniff getting some grapefruit, pine, slight amount of citrus.

T - Nice, getting hops, with grapefruit. It has some bitterness mid palate. Finally, on the after taste getting more pine and bitterness.

M - Medium all the way, mouthfeel and carbonation.

O - It feels like a everyday IPA. Not too heavy or too thin. Recommended! Cheers!

Pours golden with nice white head into my dogfish head IPA glass.

Nose is piney and boasts white grapefruit.

Crisp bite of carbonation and hops followed by bready and grassy characters. Nice background bitterness with a slightly bigger hop notes in the finish. Goes over very well and it is so easy to drink.

Love this beer. Madtree does it very well and the can keep so easily. Vets fresh and very drinkable.

Gorgeous thick frothy crown sets up high above a blurry gold and orange.

The nose holds bright citrus notes, mostly pink grapefruit, lemon rind, orange and possibly mango. The herbal, floral hops are resiny pine and rose petal like aromas.

The flavor is spot on the nose with the citrus and herbal hops in full mix.

The feel is very full and satisfying, maybe a touch oily and slick, but very smooth. The bitterness and astringency normal encountered in the style is tempered nicely.

This is a solid beer, a solid IPA and a deeply satisfying drink.

I do enjoy a beer with a witty name, hopefully the beer can back it up, and yay canned craft beer! No date on the can, but should be fresh. Just received in a trade thanks to crapturds (reddit).

Pours a nice big creamy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, nice soapy lacing, a hazy apricot orange slight golden huge beer.

Nose brings a nice hop aroma, though a bit lighter than I expected as far as strength goes. It brings a nice floral note, with some citrus, a little stone fruit, mild grassy notes, mild pith like and even a bit resinous, also a nice tangerine as it warms, all that with a hint of a sweet candy malt base.

taste comes on with a big hop base, and what seems like malts but comes through bone dry. Hops are the main attraction again, with more citrus and a little resin, mild grapefruit pith with a bit more tangerine, a hint of a stone fruit note, mild grassy slightly herbal hops that also hint at a touch of mint in the background. There is a mild reddish toasty malt presence in there, but no sweetness as it seems almost overly attenuated, the balance is long gone. The hops turn a bit spicy and chewy on the back end, and especially on the super dry finish, as the hops really linger with bitterness it gets a little astringent and tongue nagging bitter, which is not necessarily a bad thing if you love super hoppy bitter beers.

Mouth is med bod, lots of nice fluffy carbonation, very dry.

Overall quite nice, enjoyable tasty hops, with enough body to back it up despite the lack of sweetness or much of a malt profile. That being said, perhaps a bit over-attenuated as it lacks any sort of balance and the rampant hops just destroy your palate. Still a pretty nice beer.
