a - poured a one finger thick tan head into a snifter that left good lacing and sheeting throughout. the head billow nicely. the body is a bright amber color.
s - west coast hops with a hint of citrus and mint. caramel aromas too.
t - big piney hops with a spicy finish. amber is in the name but i wouldn't have guessed that style, it definitely leans more towards the imperial red side.
m - medium and coating.
o - very drinkable and solid beer from a fairly new brewery.

Brilliant amber with copper tones and a frothy khaki head that dissipates to a thin foam.

Nutty, toasted, sweet caramel and biscuit malt dominates, with resin, floral hops, and grapefruit countering. There's a hint of onion.

Flavor reveals a nutty, deeply toasted backbone, slightly sweet, which finishes fairly bitter and a touch burnt. Grapefruit surfaces initially, but malt sweetness wins, carrying into s light resiny finish. There's a biscuity character up front, accompanied by light chocolate notes.

Body and carbonation are moderate.

Fairly complex beer. The malt character is extremely varying, and the hops play against it well. It's somewhat of a mystery brew. Can't decide if I love it or not.

Thanks to crapturds (reddit) for this one.

Pours a nice foamy frothy 1 finger head that fades slowly with nice whispy lacing all over the place, hazy reddish orange chestnut color.

Nose has some decent hops, little grassy and floral, mild citrus and orange rind, little fruity, pretty big malt component with reddish caramel malts, little candy like malt, hint syrup and sweet.

Taste is semi sweet with more caramel malts, lots if reddish candy like malts but not too sweet or syrupy. Then plenty of hops but not too much, mild bitterness but nice floral fruity hops, little citrus, hint rind, mostly general fruit and floral characters. Finish is a little sticky sweet, more fair bitterness, little earthy component to the hops with touch more citrus.

Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb.

Overall not bad, nothing too special, decent fairly enjoyable, not great any means though fairly average.
