I heard about this place a few months before it opened and I had wanted to visit ever since. A world class beer bar with a michelin quality restaurant in the back? You better believe I am in on that. Atmosphere was awesome. Tons of people enjoying themselves, beautiful bar and decor to match. Quality is one of the highest I have come across. Their draft system is state of the art, their build quality is amazing and their food is some of the best in the city. Service was a touch hit or miss. When they came around it was top notch but I was left with an empty glass for a bit longer than I should have been for sitting at the middle of the bar. Selection was pretty good on our visit. They obviously had plenty of Evil Twin but they also had some killer Belgian's that I had never seen before. If you include the back restaurant I am not sure how you can't say the food is world class. If you don't then it is adequate but nothing over the top. I got the bread and butter and while it was awesome I am not sure I really got my money's worth. Prices were high across the board, even more so than the better Manhattan bars. Overall this is easily one of the best beer bars I have ever come across. I look forward to visiting again the next time I am in the area.

Amazing place. Amazing chef and amazing beer selection. This is pretty much a given considering the owners. But if you find yourself in NYC and love food and beer, this place is a must!

A bit in the middle of nowhere and from the outside, without prior knowledge, I doubt you would guess it to be a pretty killer craft beer bar.

The general bar area is a mix of dated wood with a very modern and slick bar. My friends and I were there on an early Saturday afternoon so it was not crowded at all. A very laid back atmosphere and the servers were pretty prompt and friendly.

The really only reason we went was of course for their tap menu. They really feature some top notch brews. All pours are served in oversized wine glasses with a modern graphic. We didn't have any of the food option but the options were mostly artisanal appetizer type.

Overall, a pretty cool little craft beer bar. I'm not about to run back or declare it my favorite spot but if the menu is good I wouldn't hesitate for another visit.

Are you serious?

Selection is good. That's where it ends.

Prices are outrageous. Staff is borderline incompetent and tries to hide this by being rude and condescending. I've watched them roll their eyes at customers who asked basic questions. Guess what-not everyone works in the industry and people are wary of your ridiculous prices.

Why the most famous beer bar in new york is surprised by beer tourists is a mystery. Their prices are down right offensive.

Very nicely designed.

I believe they have created a roach motel for beer toursits.

Happpen to live in brooklyn but won't go back. Better service and prices at an Applebees in Times Square.

Some Michelin star nonsense restaurant over there too. If you're a glutton for punishment check it out.

Clearly the selection and quality here is top-notch, every beer is poured the way it should be, correct temperature. Everything is poured into the big Torst wine glasses, which is fine. The selection of beers on tap was really interesting, obscure European imports, some rare US craft, and everything in between. Obviously a large amount of Evil Twin.

Didn't get much food, but did get the olive plate, which was outstanding. Seriously, if you like olives, don't miss this one.

The prices are downright offensive, but when you go here, you know that going in, so you're prepared.

Service was good, bartender was friendly, willing to help with suggestions on the lesser-known tap selections.

Absolutely worth a stop, but bring a sack of gold with you.

A great place to enjoy quality brews, especially Evil Twin, which is the featured brewery. (The owner is the founder of Evil Twin). They have Danish food(the owner is Danish) that is mostly small and for snacking. The service is good and friendly. The decor is perhaps a little sterile and chi chi for me. It looks more like a fancy cocktail bar. Nevertheless, this is a cool place to hang and to enjoy excellent quality off centered brews.

A must visit beer place if you care about beer. Always new and interesting beers on tap. Knowledgeable staff and friendly if not on a busy night. Also a great bottle selection .
