Review from notes taken at Fort Myers Brewing taproom on 6/7/13. Poured on draft into a shaker pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a medium honey gold with a 1 finger eggshell white head. Nice lacing.

Smell: Grassy notes with mildly sweet grains and a touch of caramel sweetness.

Taste: The flavor is pretty similar to the aroma. The hops are grassy, the grain is sweet. The finish is pretty light and mildly bitter.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a decent amount of carbonation.

Drinkability: Good drinkability. You could drink a few of these without any trouble.

Overall: Pretty good beer overall. This is the flagship beer of FMBC and it's a solid gateway beer for regular BMC drinkers. It's definitely worth a shot. (720 characters)

This is the beer that got me interested in craft beers a couple years ago. Still one of the better Blonde Ales I have had. Mix it 50/50 with their Cypress Strong Ale for a tasty Strong Blonde. Yummy! (199 characters)

Growler poured into a tulip.

A: Looks just like a blonde should look. Pale, straw yellow in color. A small pure white head leaves some decent lace.

A: falls a bit short. I get corn, pale malt, and notes of caramel. I wish it had a bit more of the Belgian blonde characteristics. But all in all, not bad, just not up to what I would expect.

T: Pretty much follows the nose. This is a small beer and just not that complex. Probably a "gateway" brew for those venturing into more serious craft brew.

M: Light body, good levels of carbonation. Probably the best aspect of the beer.

O: a solid example of a blonde, just not something I would chose to drink too many of. Not because its a bad beer, it's actually quite good, just not the style for me. (760 characters)
