Appearance - Pours crystal clear and orange copper in color with an off-white, finger width head. Fair retention, giving way to a thin, consistent layer of surface suds.

Smell - Caramel sweetness smacks you in the nostrils with an abundant presence, but don't overwhelm a very present hop attack in the form of grapefruit with lesser notes of pine and floral qualities.

Taste - Follows the nose. Plenty of caramel malt plays follow the leader with the hop assault, leading the citrus, pine and floral notes through the gauntlet whilst still coming out ahead. A firm but reserved orange pith bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Somewhere between medium and full in body with low to moderate carbonation. Silky texture before a semi-dry finish.

Overall - A fine DIPA. If you like Deschutes' Inversion IPA, you'll be a fan of this too; similar qualities in both flavor and balance. Not my favorite American River offering, but solid and a future buy nonetheless.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear straw body.
The aroma is pine, mango and pineapple. Really nice.
The taste starts with a danky bitterness, a kind of sweet middle, a long dry bitter finish. Great profile.
The texture is crisp with soft edges and fizz.
Tasty and quite drinkable.

This beer is kind of in between a regular IPA and a Double IPA.

Pours a light amber, gold color with a pretty nice off white head.

Aromas are a mix of caramel and grapefruit.

Taste is crisp, clean, and a bit dry. Caramel and hard candy sweetness, also slightly creamy. Finish has a nice grapefruit and pine hop bite. Nicely balanced.

Mouthfeel is snappy and crisp with lighter body and nice carbonation.

Overall, a pleasant surprise and a very solid beer.
