Well I've been coming to this place for quite sometime now and I finally said "now I will review this beer for sure". This brew is really unique. I havent got the same results anywhere else with it. When served it has a flat head with a deep ruby amber color to it. Let there be noted that there is really no aroma from this brew, for an IPA its rather bland. Next is the taste, a really flavorfull job placing the ABV in stealth mode, it had lots of taste that sets great for drinkablity and satisfies the palate. (I had some instances that I would chug these with the Bum in one shot, the outcome was funny). The outcome of this one is the story, once you go and start on this one there is no turning back, the ABV on this baby is a kick in the arse!! This brew has the right features , taste, fullfillment and of course the gravity! If you are ever in this area of Alhambra, You must make a stop out here for this one unique brew. Its worth the stop...

I have been to the California Brewing Company a few times. Except for the first occasion I went, the IPA has been on sale, and I have always tried it.
It doesnt look that appetizing when it first arrives, with barely any head.
Darkish golden color with some amber hints.
Nose is of hops, but it is not aggressive in the smells department.
That soon changes though when you take your first drink of this baby though. Highly hopped and incredibly strong at 10%, yet the alcohol is hidden deep in the smooth body of this IPA. Has a lip-smacking lingering bitter finish.
This is one very serious double-digit IPA that is Dangerously Drinkable.
Treat this one with respect, it has a habit of kicking my ass big style after only a few.

I praise California Brewing Co. very rare to find a brewpub, especially one this size that put out this 10%ABV beast. ok down to business. poured with a small, tan head, tiny bubble nice carbonation. light amber in color when back lit with a lighter due to a dark bar. taste was very nice. super liberty presence with what i think is a hint of goldings. medium malt character. super smooth with a light body. very drinkable with the alcohol being hide very well. but it is there. i found out later. good mouth character. enjoy if you are in the neighborhood.
