Was here last weekend, First visit since it changed names a few years back (country something-or-other?). Same look to it though.

As you go in, there is a small eating area to the left, coolers with cold singles to the right, and the mix-a-six and 6-pack dead ahead, singles to the left, coolers on the right. The mix-a-six selection is pretty extensive, and I had no trouble getting a dozen beers I hadn't tried before.

Warning though, and I'm beginning to think this is a problem in every store in PA, freshness can be an issue. Got burned on a couple. Perhaps my bad for not being more vigilant, but really, with 3000 breweries now across the country, am I expected to know the location of every BD/BB date?

Enough ranting. I engaged the staff, and found them to be very friendly. Didn't need help, so can't speak to their knowledge. One guy did make an approving nod after I selected Fluer De Hoeblon from their draft selection. As mentioned elsewhere, cruisine is oriental, and pretty tasty. Load up your beer in the car, grab some lunch and a brew, then on your way. Good way to spend an hour or so. Woudl go here again if in the area.

Checked this place out on a recent visit to Lebanon and was not disappointed. Typical bottle shop atmosphere. Clean place, a dozen or so craft beer on tap, good selection of to go beers. Mix a six pack offered a 15% discount. Lots of singles to choose from. A good bit of bombers as well. Prices for singles and six packs were good by PA standards, bombers a little on the pricy side. I didn't have any contact with the staff until I was checking out, but seemed friendly enough. Overall a good quality store worth checking out.

Popped in here after checking out Snitz Creek, which is right down the street... a bit of an odd place, as mentioned the atmosphere is definitely a bit divey, but the people working there were friendly enough. Interesting dynamic as they appeared to also sell Chinese food. Good selection of beer on the taps, and the bottle selection was pretty good for being in the middle of nowhere as well, but it was easy to see the markup in my eyes ( in relation to places that I typically frequent). Again, probably directly in relation to the location of this bottle shop. Some prices were pretty on point though. Worth checking out though if you're in the area and you're trying to track down something specific!

This place used to be called "Country Garden 6-Pack" and had a fairly decent selection of beers (and some good Chinese/American food). Since it became "The Union Beer House" they have dramatically increased their selection and now offer growler fills from their multiple taps. They also have a nice make-you-own six pack option and a large 22oz selection. They appear to be pretty active on keeping their selection fresh and the people that work their seem to be pretty knowledgeable about what they sell.

The atmosphere in the place is a little dark. Don't go in expecting to be impressed by the décor. It's definitely a local hang out kind of place, but I prefer those types of places. Everyone is friendly and the place is kept clean.

The pricing isn't the cheapest I've seen around this area, but it's also not nearly the most expensive. Seems that their pricing model is geared toward the middle-higher end for the Lebanon/Lancaster area.

Overall, I would recommend this place. It's a nice little establishment with an established location and one of the best beer selections in the area. Plus, you can get your singles and growlers there and then walk right next door to the beer distributor to get a full case of your favorite micro.
