I first started shopping here about 10 years ago. At the time, it was a pretty decent beer store. It has continued to improve over the years and now is nothing short of spectacular. The selection is extremely good: New England micros are very well represented, top-flight breweries from other parts of the country are also there in abundance (including AleSmith, Founders, Stone) and there is a good selection of imports. The staff is knowledgeable, especially Jordan.

This is a decent, albeit cramped, bottle shop in the artistic region of the Berkshires in Massachusetts. You walk in and are greeted by shelves of hard liquor and wine. But look to your right and you will find a very nice beer section. They specialized in local brews and regionals. There was a full sized cooler devoted to BBC, Great Barrington Brewery, and others along with well know Massachusetts brands such as Jack's Abbey, Clown Shoes, etc. There were a few obscure brews. You can buy singles. I enjoyed visiting this store.

Not sure why I first stopped in, but I immediately noticed some beers that were difficult to find in Boston. The selection isn't as big as some of the top stores in the Boston area, but things just tend to stay on the shelves a little longer.
Nice store in the Berkshires. Staff is friendly and helpful, selection is very good, I end up making this a stop whenever I am out in the area. I would highly recommend stopping there if you are in the area.

Had no reason to expect this level of service and selection in the area and visited several times during a brief stay in the area. Staff and owner are simply exceptional in their willingness to provide you with whatever you need and at very very fair prices. Others have referred to this as closer to a mom and pop than mega store...agreed and for that alone it is worth a stop. The owner, Ed Domaney, is everything one would want as a customer. Cordial and always willing to share insights on places in the area to visit, eat, and stay.

Walking in the door you are greeted by rows and rows of wine. Upon walking to the back of the store you will find coolers of craft beer and racks of bombers/750s.
Their selection is better than average and they often receive special releases from New England breweries like Cambridge Brewing Co., Allagash, Pretty Things, etc.
Their staff is friendly and willing to help however they can. In addition to beer, they have a great selection of cheese, meat, and crackers in a cooler in the front of the store.
Overall, Domaney's is well worth the stop. I drive 30 minutes every once in a while to shop there and am always pleased.

This place looks very unassuming from the outside. Parking can be troublesome on the weekends in particular, and once you're inside it's not immediately clear that they have much beer. From the front door there are reach in coolers to your right and more at the far back of the store. Good local selection (Berkshire, Barrington) and pleasant service, though you'll have to ask for help. Some randomly assorted obscure and hard to find beers, but you can't expect to find specific things, it's hit or miss. Good selection of bottle sizes as well, with growlers and bombers of various things.
Good prices all around and a very impressive wine and liquor selection as well if you're looking for more than just beer.

I've passed this store 5 or 6 times a year for a number of years while traveling through Great Barrington but had previously never stopped primarily due to the lack of adequate parking - on street only and on a busy main road. Also, it has a rather unimpressive look from the outside. Probably never would have stopped had I not read the Beerfly writeups as it appeared to be a typical neighborhood store which would probably be featuring primarily macro products. Wrong!
My opinion changed rather quickly when I entered the store and proceeded to the back coolers which contained an extensive selection of domestic crafts and a decent group of imports. Much better than the other 2 Great Barrington stores which I had previously visited.
I was particularly interested in seeing what they had from the Barrington and Berkshire breweries but didn't notice any bomber bottles in the back coolers. I walked around the store and discovered the side coolers near the front which had a wide variety of bottles from these brewers as well as Peoples Pint and a number of others.
I was in the store, which is relatively small, for about 15 minutes but no one ever asked me if I needed help. I didn't need any help (once I found the second coolers)but don't have any basis for rating the service as better than average. Checkout person was pleasant so no problem in that regard.
Overall, an interesting store which looks worn and somewhat run-down yet is very much up-to-date as far as its beer selection is concerned. I'll be stopping more often in the future.
