Doesn't get much better than this place!!! HUGE selection and you are allowed to buy everything in singles. Most places have an "upcharge" when they break up a sixer and sell it by singles, but NOT this place ... single bottle price is the SAME as a 6-pack. Tons of great brews - Shorts, Founders, Bells, Dark Horse ... plus many other smaller Michigan breweries. Owners/workers were super cool - very friendly - very helpful ... I consider this a MUST VISIT if you are ever near Grand Rapids.

what an amazing place. Pretty much perfect. I suppose if I've got one minor gripe it's that they've really crammed so much in there that it was tough in a few spots to squat down and look at the bottom shelf without feeling like my ass was going to knock over bottles on the shelf behind me. And I'm only slightly fat! The layout was a bit confusing and it could have had a higher % of cold beer, but I'm picking nits here. Go, you'll be glad you did.

kinda glad I DON'T live nearby; dropped $200 without trying and it could have been $600.

This place is a small slice of heaven for a beer junkie. The selection is the best I've seen in Michigan. Its like you're in a Bevmo or Binney's except with a mom & pop feel instead of sam's club feel. And the selection is probably better anyway. They also are the best source in the area for home brewers. Love this place!

This is the greatest homebrew store on earth. Their prices on grain beat the internet shops before shipping. The staff is very knowledgeable, each with their own expertise. Steve and Barb are great folks and set the standard for the whole crew. Great beer selection, all in singles, two walls of coolers, plus what is in back. All homebrew ingredients are very fresh. I have bought hops and yeast that were packaged that very week. All kinds of parts for homebrew and kegerator setups, fittings, kegs, tubing, gloves, bourbon barrels. Just an amazing selection of everything including a walk in humidor, coffee, wine, wine kits, spirits, kegs. This is my favorite store. Check out their website and visit if you get the chance. No trip to Grand Rapids would be complete without a visit to Sicilianos.

*My review from Yelp*

I'm glad I stopped here, even though I ultimately didn't get anything. This is a great place to stop if you love craft beer and/or homebrew, as there's a pretty large homebrew section with helpful employees who know their beer. The most intriguing thing about this place is that it seems EVERY BEER can be bought as a single, and the prices are a touch cheaper than places closer to my house. Additionally, there's a pretty nicely sized refrigerated section for people who want to mix-a-six, and then. Well. Drink a six when they get home or to a party. This is a beer store done right, and I wish it wasn't all the way in Grand Rapids.

Siciliano's Market is the go to liquor store in Grand Rapids.

Everything by the single bottle. Tons of cooler space with chilled singles. A huge selection of imports, German, Belgian, whatever you are looking for. A growing selection of Michigan Meads. Awesome, vast selection of homebrewing grains and a good stop for information on home brewing, including a knowledgeable staff, and a big selection of books to feed your head.

It's a great stop. Do it!

The staff was very knowledgable and walked me to the beers that I needed along with recommending addition local beers that fit my interests that day.
I thought their single beer pricing strategy was an expensive way to buy, but convenient! If visiting Founders stop here to stock your cellar or fridge.

Stopped in while visiting Grand Rapids because we had heard such good things about the place, and was not disappointed.

The atmosphere is tailored to please true beer, cigar, and wine connoisseurs. It can be a bit cramped when the place is packed (which it was) but that would be my only complaint about the building.

The people working when we visited went above and beyond standards of customer service and really made our trip memorable. They informed us of several places we absolutely needed to stop into while we explored downtown Grand Rapids. Without their recommendations we never would have known Brewery Vivant was an essential stop. The service was fantastic.

The selection ranged from a variety of regional brews (our first taste from Shorts was from here, love them) to craft beers from all over the world. A very nice, wide array of choices.

This is one of those absolute must-finds when in the Grand Rapids area.

I have to tell you the staff there are very knowledgeable!! The selection they offer are pretty darn good. Every Friday is new beer Friday and if you buy a case you get 10% off of your total purchase. I could spend hours in this store pondering on what to purchase. This store gets an A+ in my books. I plan to frequent this store often!!

I've been to Grand Rapids many times, but somehow this little gem has escaped me until now. I noticed the recommendations on BA and checked this place out on a recent trip to GR. Their selection is incredible and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of local areas brews. If I hadn't already loaded up my car with FFF stuff I picked up earlier on the road trip, I probably would have grabbed more local stuff to bring back with me. I have stores around me that have selections that are nearly as good as Siciliano's, but not nearly as knowledgeable about the beers they carry. Siciliiano's also appeared to have a great selection of home brew supplies, but I didn't go through that area of the store. I appreciated the way they sell everything by the bottle, so I was able to try several different beers that I might not have tried in a full six-pack.

Siciliano's really is the destination for craft beer fans and homebrewers alike in West Michigan. I don't live near the store, but find myself making frequent trips there to pick things up, especially on "New Beer Friday." Absolutely A+ service, and the people working in the shop are all highly knowledgeable on their products, and are always willing to assist. The best selection of craft beer I've been able to find within 100 miles (plus everything can be purchased by the bottle). Really solid selection of homebrew supplies and equipment. There have only been a few instances where Siciliano's didn't have what I needed, and in those cases it was hard to find in the first place, even through a national internet homebrew retailer. Fierce advocates for the local homebrewing community, not to mention generous sponsors of local events and competitions. I can say with confidence that without Siciliano's, there is no way I would be able to enjoy homebrewing and craft beer the way I do now. West Michigan is very lucky to have a resource like this in its backyard.

Siciliano's Market is a wonderful place to find your favorite beers, spirits or wines. If you are a Home Brewer you can get your supplies here. I highly recommend stopping by here. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are looking for something that is hard to find they probably have it or they can get it for you. I try to frequent Siciliano's weekly. They always have new Brews coming in every week. They also carry cigars and tobaccos which gives it an inviting aroma when walking into the store.

Sicilianos is by far the best "beer" store I've ever frequented.

The selection is immense and will please beer, cigar, coffee, tea, and homebrew aficionados.

As for beer, they have a reliable selection from anywhere in the globe. The store is essentially divided into sections by regions. For instance, all belgians/international beers have their own shelf. There is also sections for Michigan and domestic beers.

Outside of beer, the store has quite a bit of spirits and liquors. There is also a section dedicated to exotic teas and coffee. Sicilianos also reps a full assortment of homebrew equipment/ingredients, home-fermented wine section, and another section I like to call DIY. This is stuff like make your own almond milk or grow your own mushrooms or cheese.

As for beer, it's easily best in Grand Rapids and West Michigan. Sicilianos consistently stocks rare and mainstay beers and their availability is second to none. The staff is incredibly knowledgable in making the right recommendations to seasoned beer drinkers or beginners. One thing that separates this from average liquor stores, Sicilianos marks all their beer in singles. While you can buy four/six packs, it's more targeted toward maker your six pack.

Protip for Sicilianos: First, they stock new beers on Thursday afternoon and run a blog on Friday called "New Beer Friday." Your best chance for finding whales and rarities is on Thursday afternoon.

Next stop on our round trip Michigan trip. Also recommended by many BA's

Small parking lot on a slightly busy road. Fair sized store selling beer, spirits, cigars and home brew supplies. Friendly staff, we were asked by several employees if we needed help and smiled and re-assured us to ask for anything if needed. Selection was very good, but was a little sad to see very little Shorts beers. Picked up a case (gotta get the 10% discount) and left happy. Most of the beers I bought were fresh except the 2 Jolly Pumpkin beers (Weizen Bam and E.S. Bam) both were a year old (still excellent btw)

Will definitely return.

One of the many reason to visit Grand Rapids. A great bottle selection in a clean and well organized store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and pointed out some stuff that had recently come in. The 10% discount on purchases over a case was a nice surprise too.

Picked up some great local stuff form Founders, Bells and New Holland as well as a few Epic bottles that apparently were new to Michigan.

My only complaint was that their Short's selection was very limited. Aside from that, this place was great and I will definitely return on my next trip to Grand Rapids.

The atmosphere here is just great. There are beer making and wine making supplied in the front, and then you make your way to the back where there are loads of great beers and wines.

The quality here is great: a fine showing of wine and beer making supplies. Their staff seems to know everything.

The service is simply wonderful. Any questions I've had, either in terms of self brewing or beer drinking have been answered. Never have the employees seems in a bad mood and I always felt comfortable speaking with them.

The selection is also great. Many different beer choices: it would be difficult to exhaust them all.

The value is also on the money (pun intended!). Many of the single brews will run you like a dollar and a half which is great. Many of the more select beers are not terrible expensive and are right where they should be. An overall wonderful place.

I've been up to Grand Rapids twice in the past month and have made it a point to stop by the top bottle shop in GR, Siciliano's, while visiting.

Siciliano's had a broad range of Domestic and International bottles and a participatory good selection of Belgians. The shop only sells by the bottle, which makes their shelves of 4-packs and 6-packs a bit pricey.

Both times I've stopped in, I've had a hard time finding anything terrible exceptional. Like many shops, I'm sure they get some whales in from time to time, which probably vaporize within hours but even in talking to the staff, I was told they simply don't have much of that kind of stuff and I should keep an eye on their Twitter feed.

I agree that its without a doubt the best bottle shop in the area, but on par with other shops in the Midwest, I think it's a bit below the A+ its been given on BA. Perhaps their rather large Home Brew shop lifts their score... but as a bottle shop, I've seen stores more deserving of such a high score.

Nice selection, single bottles, good international variety.

Third stop on a recent trip to Grand Rapids with nicktbm and our significant others. Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon just before heading to the 9th Annual Founders Harvest Party.

This place has an endless selection of craft beer. Half-a-dozen aisles are lined with every beer imaginable from popular US micros, local Michigan crafters, and reputable European breweries (both new and old).

I grabbed 25 bottles, including Avery Ellie’s Brown Ale, Southern Tier Harvest Ale, Stoudts Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Arcadia IPA, Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Weizenbock, New Holland Mad Hatter IPA, 2007 Gale’s Old Prize Ale, and Mikkeller Stateside IPA, among many others.

As with any large beer store, you have to watch for out of code products, but most of the stock is new. The staff and customers chatted with us while we were shopping and told us more about the Harvest Party and what to expect. One of the clerks was particularly helpful in recommending good Michigan brews. My friend and I received 10% discounts on our cases and the cashier suggested that we check out Graydon’s Crossing for a great beer bar. We took him up on his reco the next day. In terms of prices, 25 beers came to $70, which is fair enough to me.

Overall, Siciliano’s is a world class beer store with all sorts of "extra" goodies like cigars, home brewing supplies, and wine-making kits. It’s an absolute must-visit in the Grand Rapids area, and the best beer store that I’ve come across thus far.

This is the only place to buy craft beer in Grand Rapids. There really is no point in looking anywhere else since Sicilianos has the largest selection. The staff is very friendly to the point of knowing my name soon after I started shopping there. I also brew so the store is amazing in that regard. The staff knows there beer and are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to brewing. It is always fun to walk in there to find out what new beers they have in stock. They recently expanded and took over the space next door. This allowed them to add to their homebrew supplies.

Most of what I can say about Siciliano's Market has already been said, so I'll just hit some main points.
They are definitely craft beer geeks. If you can find it in Michigan, they probably sell it here. However, this appears to be well known as in speaking with a couple of the people working there, they indicate that some special release beers don't last a day. Short's more esoteric offerings only last a few days after they come in. So I get the impression they get just about everything they could possibly get, but it just may not stick around for too long.
As a person coming from Chicago, I can't say the selection is mind-blowing, but since this is the only store I visited in the Grand Rapids area, I have nothing to compare it to locally. This could very well be the best store in all of Grand Rapids. It could well not be. I can't say. However, I can say their selection is still fairly impressive. And everything is available as a single, which is a bonus as well.
Service was quite good. Was greeted right when we walked in. When I advised I was from Chicago and was only interested in beers I couldn't get in that market, I was lead around the store and into the cooler to be shown all of the local offerings. They even grabbed my beers from me and held them at the counter while I shopped and steered me away from beers they thought we subpar.
Half of the store is dedicated to homebrewing (they also have a section for cheesemaking) which I found quite impressive. Loads of different malts, yeasts, and hops. Would love to hit this place the next time I'm brewing. Just about everything you'd need and probably lots of stuff you don't. I could see it being very easy to end up buying crap just to buy it.
Prices seemed a bit high for the area, but it could be par for the course for all I know, but the 10% discount on cases helps out a bit.

This is one of my go to places in town when I'm looking for something special. I'm a relatively new beer geek but they seem to have a good selection. It's a pretty small place with not a whole of room between the shelves. I'm always afraid I'm going to knock something over.

In store service can be hit or miss. There's a couple guys who are super helpful and eager to answer questions. There's also a couple who are less so.... Service via their FB page however is top notch. They always answer questions about availability etc... within a couple hours tops.

If you're a home brewer, this is the place to go. They've got all the stuff and are eager to help answer any questions you might have.

I almost feel bad reviewing this since I had such high expectations for this store and the reviews all shower it in praise.

I walked in with my brother-in-law and was not greeted. Two women were behind the counter just standing…a guy was stocking the beer in the coolers and just kind of looked at us. We later asked him where the “beer cave” was since we were first timers and had no idea, and he seemed somewhat annoyed. Needless to say once I did ask one of the women behind the counter if they had any “special” fun beers they did try to help out.

The selection was solid for a store in Grand Rapids, but nothing special. I really didn’t find any beers I couldn’t in a Binny’s, minus a few Short’s they had (and which every store in this area of Michigan has). I asked if they had a few beers mentioned in prior reviews and they were out of everything it would appear. As stated, it’s not like the selection is bad; however, it does not deserve the praise everyone is giving. Understandably this is a good beer store for a smaller area like Grand Rapids, but again this doesn’t mean it should get 4.5 or 5 for selection. In addition there were dusty bottles and some old “hoppy” bottles.

I did like the fact you could buy singles of everything. That is a huge plus. I walked in expecting to drop a ton of money and walked out with a mixed six pack of Short’s. Prices were okay.

Love this place. Used to be my go to for craft when I lived in GR. I came back to visit and its still awesome.

Best selection of Michigan beers for sure. Came here to get some stuff I can't get in IL. Awesome selection of other stuff too. Belgian and other import selection wasn't extensive, but quality.

Service here is awesome, noticed some employees asking customers if they were finding everything alright. Eventually, I started talking to an employee and we talked about beer and she went through a lot of beers with me for about 15 minutes or so.

One of the best things about this place is anything is in singles. Definitely got a nice selection of beers without having to invest in 6 packs. Also if you buy a case worth, you get a 10% discount.

Will definitely be back when in GR.
