Pours a golden brown color--looks almost like iced tea! A one inch white head. The delicious aroma--grapefruity and dank--says it's definitely NOT iced tea! The taste is fantastic, smooth, citrusy, with a nice malt balance. Not too bitter, not too malty. Not too sweet, not too hot. It's.... well, just about perfect. The feel is an ideal mix of bitter hops and sweet malt--a perfect balance.
After drinking my first bomber from The Market in Kettering, I had to go find more. Could this beer really be as good as I remembered? Had my second bomber. Dang it, I had to increase my initial conservative rating. This is definitely a world class beer. I drank a lot of Hop Juju this year, and this beer is right in the same league as that GABF double gold medal winner from Fatheads.
Bottom line: This is my favorite new beer of the year. Please YSB, make this a regular offering!!!! Pretty Please?!
EDIT: It's now mid-May 2016, and I went looking for more of this great beer. I found some bottles at Dot's Market in Bellbrook. Drank one tonight (May 16th), and unfortunately, the flavor was badly disintegrated. There was almost nothing remaining of the grapefruity dank aroma. Did this beer fall off in just three weeks? Or was it treated poorly in distribution? Or was this a different batch?
