11.2 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Acquired this oddity as part of a mixed six pack at the local beer store. I'm not quite sure what to make of this, and not quite sure who actually brews this. Label says brewed and bottle by Cerveceria Mexicana, S. de R.L. de C.V. Tecate. Product of Mexico, is about the only thing that is certain.

Poured into a miniature pint glass with Victorian carriages printed on it.

A - Pours a nice beautiful burnt sienna orange colored body, with three big fluffy fingers of rocky tan head. Looks like a root beer float on top of a nice IPA. Nice sheets of lacing on the way down. Looks great.

S - Smell is of some caramel / bread malts, some tea leaf sweetness, earthy yeast, and some herbal grassy qualities.

T - Taste follows the nose: bready caramel malts, some green apple skin, dirty herbal grass, hint of citrus / lemon, some twiggy earthiness, sweetened tea leaves, hint of white sugar, & some coiny metallics on the finish. Not too bad at all, considering what it is.

M - Feel is crisp and lightly bitter with some herbal hoppiness and dry bready caramel malt on the finish. Some lingering green apple skin, also. Medium bodied with good carbonation, feels a little bit more full than it is.

Overall, I thought it was excellent considering it is a Mexican imported APA. Not too bad at all. Nicely built and flavored, especially for being such a low abv beer. I would definitely have this again, and I look forward to trying more from this brewery, whoever they might be.

Queen of the Night Pale Ale has a thick, cream-colored head, a clear, copper appearance, lots of bubbles, and a good amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of sweet malts, floral hops, and some white bread. Flavor is of caramel, floral and fairly pronounced hops, white bread, white bread crust, and touch of corn. Mouthfeel is light and somewhat watery, and Queen of the Night Pale Ale finishes semi-dry, sweet, bitter, and quite drinkable. Overall, this is good.

The Queen of the Night is a nice MPA....Mexican Pale Ale....perhaps a new style??? The beer pours a clear amber with thin slightly off white head that is leaving a lace. The scent (I have congestion so forgive me) contains some fresh hops but nothing out of control. The taste is a nice even balanced beer....there is enough sweet malt to balance the bittering hops. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it s solid sessionable beer.

A: The beer is crystal clear dark amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high beige head that quickly died down, leaving delicate lacing on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of caramel and toasted malts are present in the nose; the smell becomes a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is mostly dominated by the malts and has flavors of toasted and caramel malts (along with associated bits of sweetness) and hints of citrusy and earthy yeast and herbal hops, the latter of which contributes a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This APA isn't bad compared to other beers from Mexico, but seems like it could use a little more hops to help balance off the malts.

12 oz bottle, undated, served in a lager glass.

Pours a fine looking dark amber color with very good clarity and a generous bone-colored head that leaves plenty of soapy lacing on the glass. It looks like an amber ale rather than an APA, and the aroma seems to be that of a moderately more-hoppy-than-usual amber. The flavor opens with caramel and light malts, with herbal hops coming out in the finish and aftertaste.

Medium bodied with medium carbonation; smooth until the slightly astringent finish.

Overall: a fine looking Mexican amber with a slightly ramped up hop component.

I picked up a bottle of Los Muertos Brewing's Queen Of The Night a couple weeks ago for $1.75 at Boyne Country Provisions. I'm still not too familiar with this brewery, but I thought their Porter was pretty solid, so lets see how their Pale Ale goes. No visible bottling date. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into an imperial pint glass.

A- The label looks nice, it isn't as cool looking as the Porter's label, but it s still pretty eye catching. It poured a nice fairly clear amber color that took on more of copper color when held to the light with two and a half fingers worth of creamy off white head that died to a thin ring that stayed till the end and left lots of nice rings of lacing. This is a very good looking Pale Ale, I have no complaints.

S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness followed by some grainy, bready, light toasted, sweet and caramel malt aromas with some doughy yeast in the background. Up next comes the hops which impart an earthy, slightly soapy, and citrus hop aromas with some citrus rind aroma sticking out the most. The aroma wasn't bad and it seemed fairly true to style.

T- The taste seems to be pretty similar to the style and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness followed by a grainy, bready, and caramel malt like aroma with some doughy yeast showing up in the background with some bread crust flavors seeming to sticking out the most. Up next comes the hops which impart a nice earthy and citrus hop flavor with citrus rind seeming to stick out the most. On the finish there's a lower amount of bitterness with a grainy, and citrus rind like aftertaste. This was a nice tasting Pale Ale that had pretty good balance.

M- Smooth, clean, not so crisp, on the light side of being medium bodied with a slightly lighter amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel was ok, but I wish it was a little more crisp with a little more carbonation.

Overall I thought this was decent beer and I thought it was a slightly above average example of an American Pale Ale, it was fairly true to style and it had some nice balance with neither malts or hops being too overpowering. This beer had decent drinkability, it was smooth and clean, but the taste didn't do the best job at holding my attention, I could drink one or two but after that I would probably get bored with it. What I liked the most about this beer was the balance and appearance, I thought they were both pretty good. What I liked the least about this beer was the mouthfeel, I feel like it could have used a little more carbonation. I don't think I would buy this again, i think it's solid, but it's not the type of beer I would seek out. I would recommend this to people starting to get into craft beer since it's not that bitter, but I don't think it would impress any hardcore American Pale Ale fans. All in all this wasn't a bad American Pale Ale, but nothing really stuck out about and I didn't think it was that memorable. So far the Porter is my favorite beer from this brewery. This was a decent attempt at a Pale Ale, but I think it could handle a little more bitterness, with a little tweaking this could be a pretty solid American Pale Ale, better luck next time guys.

Poured from an 11.2oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light reddish brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, some citrus and a touch of pale hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty malt character followed by some sweet flavors of caramel and citrus. The hops presence is on the weak side for the style but brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, very mild kick, decent representation of style, it’s not one of the better beers in the style but it’s not too bad.

Poured out a deep copper with a big creamy almost-white head. Head retention is great aided by steady carbonation. The aroma is very mild, almost not there. It has very light pine hops notes with light bready malt. The taste is just OK, it's got a weird adjunct corn flavor (a recurring theme) and slight metallic tang on the finish. It has a fizzy body that's a little light on the palate. Hoped for more based on the appearance but it's not to be.
