Marcorelle's is a small liquor store on Rt. 1A in downtown Ipswich. It carries the full line of Ipswich and Stone Cat ales and quite a few others including Arrogant Bastard and some Dogfish Heads. The prices are average to slightly below compared to other stores on the North Shore.

The service is terrific. Last year I bought 2 bottles of World Wide Stout and when I stepped out of the door the bag ripped and one bottle smashed on the ground. I went in to buy another, but having seen what just happened they blamed the bag and gave me another bottle free.

Ipswich isn't bustling town, but for its location Marcorelle's has a good selection, descent prices and friendly service. Plus if you're looking for fresh Ipswich Ales this is the place you want to go.

Usually stop into this place on the way home from Cape Ann. Can't miss it with it's Ipswitch Ale sign, right smack in the middle of downtown. Good selection, but I'm usually looking for a cold growler of Ipswitch Ale. Staff is friendly, and it is close enough to the New Hampshire border to be open on Sunday. That's a plus.

Marcorelle's is in downtown Ipswich (under the Ipswich Ale sign). This is a very small shop that sells beer, wine, and liquor. The beer selection ranges from fresh growlers of Ipswich Ale (the brewery is half a mile away, aka Mercury) to Rochefort 10. This is an ask if you don't see it shop. Due to their size some products are behind the counter or in basement. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have special ordered two products for me (World Wide Stout & Immort Ale). If it is available to them they will get it for you. Their prices are average for the area. They also carry most of the macro-brew stuff as well as all of the bottled Mercury stuff. The highlight to Marcorelle's is the fact that they make you feel like you are buying from a friend and not a corporation. When you are in the shop you are an honored guest not just a customer.
