Bottle shared with Abbbp who once again graciously shared this with me. Poured into a snifter.

Appearance: Golden apricots, no head to speak of save for a bit of a pale white crown that disappears fast. Gorgeous color though.

Smell: Loads and loads of dried apricots, backed up by a prominent lactic sourness.

Taste: Lots of apricots, and a very strong white wine quality too. The sour is a strong lactic sour, hitting me right in the jaw. This is very good, an excellent fruited sour for sure. I'm not sure if I can pick out any white peaches from the apricot flavor, but it is delicious.

Mouthfeel: Prickly carbonation, and it lingers on the palate quite a while. Somewhat dry, but I've certainly had drier.

Overall: A fantastic beer I'm happy to try. Very nice job, Alpine.

The beer pours a cloudy golden orange (looks like a dried apricot) with little visible carbonation/head or sediment. The nose is distinctly apricot forward with minimal tartness and a hint of acetone. Bright and concentrated apricots cascade over my palate, even with a small sip, and there is a slightly tart, minimally funky, lingering apricot finish. The beer has a light drinkable body with approachable sourness, distinct apricot, minimal unpleasantries, absent carbonation, and a dry finish. This is a fantastic apricot sour, albeit difficult to obtain, that would be relished by even those never having tried a sour before.
