Poured on tap into goblet at the brewery on 7/26. Pours a magnificent amber orange with a finger of creamy white head. Leaves a decent amount of lacing down the glass. On the nose it is not overly hoppy, particularly toned down I'd say. There absolutely is the distinct Alpine pine notes however. A bit of caramel comes out. On the palate it is warming with the 11% abv with a minute alcohol bite. Hops become more pronounce in the taste, pine and citrus. Also, like the nose, caramel brings itself forth. Has a good amount of carbonation which helps the beer become more refreshing. On a hot day, best enjoyed inside with A/C as it will make you warm and fuzzy. Very pleased with the Expo, it was fulfilling to have after waiting all the these months.
