Pours a golden orange with a thick white head. Lots of lace on the glass. There are lots of sediment particles suspended in the liquid. Aroma is of grapefruit, tangerine, and fresh cut grass.
Loads of hoppy bitterness in here. Lots of grapefruit here. Some grass and herbal-like qualities from the hops too. A bit of oak flavor is noticeable, and there is an underlying cotton candy sweetness in the background. Alpine had done a good job of hiding the 10.5% alcohol here. A great Double IPA.
