Poured from a 22oz bottle like the one in the picture. Glassware used was an imperial pint glass. Clear golden color; aggressive carbonation, topped with a burgeoning pillowy white head that left a good account of its drinker's progress after each quaff.
Aroma is strong of grapefruit and, to a lesser degree, other citrus notes. Also a good dose of pine some tropical fruits and malty notes.
Wow, this one packs on the grapefruit taste; one of the most potent grapefruit laden beers I've had in quite a while. The pine resins and hops oils definitely push the slightly bready, nutty malt bill off to go sit in the nosebleed section.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, well-carbonated, and tingly on the palate.
If you're a hophead like I am, this is the beer for you. Very West Coast in flavor and aroma and quite drinkable. Worth seeking out.

I’m glad to say that this, my first taste of an Alpine beer, lived up to the hype.
It pours a golden-tan with exceptional clarity. I get a great citrus aroma and some light piney notes. There’s a lively citrus flavor and a light bittering on it. I enjoyed this repeatedly when I found it on tap. An all around well done IPA that hits all the right notes.
